ive just asked on another forum. it seems that no one knows here on esato! one of the sellers must know because they can try it out.
i dont want to put you off the moto but it has a 65,000 colour screen whereas your sharp has 262,000 colour screen. it may seem like a big difference but most phones have 65,000 colour screen and it is very good quality. i wouldnt worry but i thought id tell you.

good on ya. so dont you care about the screen difference on the two phones. it wouldnt really bother me much. the moto has better features such as more mem, 3g, etc.. which is better than having a more colourful screen.

i think there both the same camera 0.31 mega pixels so they will take the same pics but at different resolutions and the sharp will display the pic using more colours. the sharp may have better resolution because it has more colours in the screen. the moto will still be good quality and there wont be much difference. you may find that the sharp is better or the moto could be. it all depends on the quality of the camera, software,etc. my SE has a 65,000 colour screen and the videos are ok quality and the pics are good and the phone ive got is a low buget (cheap) phone so im sure the moto will be ok. |

nothing wrong with 65k screen. that samsung we talked about ealier has 250k colour screen i think but only 14mb of memory. both phones have advantages and disadvantages. if i was you i would work out what features i need most and have a good look around and choose the ideal phone. the sharp is no good for me because of the 6mb mem but it maybe good for you. you just have to make a choice. stick with sharp, moto, samsung, etc. if you tell me exactly what features you need i will carry on looking on the net for other phones or have you decided to go for the moto? its your choice! |

you mean because it only has a 65,000 screen?
this can affect the photo quality but it also depends on the type of camera eg vga etc.. and the no of pixels that the cam has eg 640*480. i think they both the sharp and the moto have the same camera type its just sharp pics maybe slightly clearer due to there being more colours on the screen. you must consider this and its only a big problem if you are very fussy about your pics. i am no expert on phone cameras but you may find the sharp slightly clearer but it all depends on the phones software, camera driver etc...
most camera phones have 65,000 colour screens its just some of the new ones which have 262k colour screens like the sharp gx30,25 etc...
i will continue looking tomorrow for a suitalbe phone for you if you cannot make up your mind. the screens are not a big issue but worth considering. as i said before what features do you use the most?
i am now going on esato on my mobile so it may say that im offline but i an not!

I think i'm gonna get the moto - i'm gonna stick a £90 bid in the morning for it, unless the video quality is worse than the camera quality, like...do phones resolution levels drop if you use video recording?
