@blackspot, its a sort of side side dish. It is round and flat and made mostly from a particular type of dal. (Uzhunnu) its very crispy and tasty. Will take pictures and post them.

um.... papad is a crispy wafer like thingy and tastes like..... um..... i dont know anything which tastes like papad

yeah it's like a taco, but thinner and crispier.

Its usually a side dish, eaten with rice. It can be eaten by itself too
