No, no flight mode. Phones can cause problems with the nav instruments, but since we were flying visually (and the nav instruments were turned off on the ground too), then we decided it was no problem. |

@apotts - is that the highest quality setting for video capture? |

Think so, can't find a setting for quality, only size (and that's the biggest). Quality is better with scenes that don't move around much - but on stuff like that it is a bit, er, basic. |

Guy, you guess wisely (though the clues are there...). Would rather not discuss my employer here, though. |

Don't forget to check your settings when you use S700.
I will upload some shots with my S700 when I return home soon. |

Can S700 mute the Shutter sound in Silent or Meeting Mode?

As far as I am aware, as a s700 owner, there is currently no way to switch off the shutter noise.
Feel free to correct me on this, but I have not found a way to take silent pictures.

It depends on where you live
If you live in a country that has rules/regelations against turning off shutter sound - then the countrycustomisation on your phone will prevent turning off shutter sound |

I can mute mine either with 'mute' or turn ringtone down to 0
