some maltesers (yummy)
some euros
and the usual view of my kids on their laptops on the floor as they watch tv and play GTA vice city (son) and zoo tycoon (daughter)
wish I could hold my hand a little stiller as they still have a little blur in them

you know when takin panoramic photos u take 2 separate pictures. how does the picture then end up perfectly aligned. is it the skill of the phone or the photographer?

In fact you can take up to 3 pictures which are stitched together.
The quality of the stitch is dependant very much on the photographer providing sufficient overlap in the photos and also keeping the camera at the same angle so one picture is not at an angle to the next
not too hard to do as you can see

I don't know if my disapointment is unjust or not, but when taking pictures with the K700 under dim light conditions, not dark just not as much light as out in dayligth, the pictures gbecomes grainy and not good at all. Here is an example:
Does everyone els also get this bad quality when taking shots in dim light conditions? I must say that the ligt at that particular Kodak-moment wase no way near as bad as it would be in a night-club. And swirching on the photo light does not help.
P.S. Thos is one of the better shots from that evening have some that realy looks horrible.

Hmm, that's no good. I thnik that mine get's a bit grainy too. Not near that low quality though... Masseur's pics are better than mine in general...
Anyway, one I took today:

Dont feel dissapointed
All mobilecams are toys - nothing more - they are nothing but cheap webcams put into a phone. They cannot be compared to regular digicams. They all need "perfect" ligthing conditions just to deliver pictures that are halfdescent to look at. The purpose of cams in mobiles was to boost mms traffic - they were never ment to be a "real camera"
If you take pictures with your K700i under good lighting conditions - this means real daylight, preferably sunny - not indoor evening shots with artificial lighting, your pictures will be of the same quality as the rest youve seen here.
All mobilecams are terrible in poor lighting conditions - and even though the K700i cam is a step up compared to the T610 - its still only a low resolution mobile VGA cam, with a poor lense etc.
I cant say this clearly enough because it seems that there are so many people that buys their mobiles because of the camera, or expect way to much from them, and it allways makes me feel sad for them - if you want a good camera, get a real camera, if you want a good phone, get a good phone (you have) - dont ever expect the 2 to make up for eachother - cause they never will.
Mobile phone cams of today are toys, at its best they are fun toys, but they will never be as good as real digicams - yes, sure, in a year or 2 we will see mobile cams that can deliver pictures in the same quality as the cheapest digicams can today, but by then digicams will also have evolved and will still be way way better.
Yes the example you showed wasnt very good - but with the dim conditions I can see was present and the bright lamp on the wall right into the lense - every mobilecam would be just as bad.
What Im trying to say is - dont feel dissapointed - but preferably limit your picturemaking to sunny daytimes

Photos look great on my screen... I haven't got a bluetooth dongle yet, so I can't show you any pics - I'm going to order one from eXpansys so expect to see some soon. Well as soon as it stops pissing down and I can take some sunny pics. |

Millenniumcult, you know that default setting is not high quality.. you must set it to "high"
Is that pic 640x480 high quality?
