The Z1020 is not a confirmed handset. Its just a rumour so no one knows if it has symbian or not as this phone does not even exists!! I also agree that the Z1010 will be kind of outdated when its released as its been more than 18 months since first announced it.

Whether the Z1020 has been confirmed or not, the Z1010 is still a poor choice at the moment because of the massive delay in it being released. One would be far better investing in a 3G handset by another manufacturer or waiting for SE to release their next 3G handset, whether that is the Z1020 or not.

It's actually quite sad because the Z1010 would have been an excellent choice if it had been released a year ago, even a few months ago it would still have been a valid choice. If the Z1010 had been released a year ago it would almost certainly have 'swept the board' in terms of sales of 3G handsets; SE could have had a major success on their hands.

Maybe a little stupid question, 100 times discussed on Esato. May I use z 1010 in other network as 3 g. Very sorry, indeed.

@boto

yes if you are one of the lucky few who got the supposed older batch of z1010s. rumours have it the newer batches are locked to Three.

isn't z1020 branded? vodafone only?

my turn for a dumb question...anyone knows the exact month the very first z1010 was released?

Do you mean a orange version of the v800?

It would seem unlikely that Orange will release a version of the V800 this year since it is exclusive to Vodafone at launch. This being the case I would imagine that it would be a few months, at least, until the other networks can release the V800; since there isn't too long left of this year I think it will be 2005 before the other networks are able to start selling the V800. If this is the case and if the rumour of Orange relesing another SE 3G handset this year is true, then it would mean that SE still have a new handset to announce.
