alot of people here are saying that the k700 has mp3 support i didnt see anything in the reviews mentiond about mp3. i saw polyphonic ringtones and fm radio but the only thing i saw that supported mp3 was the s700. Can someone show me where it says the k700 supports mp3's. |

apparently no mp3 support, but it will not affect the mass market appeal, the vast majority of end users dont care about this function, not to mention the operators who really dont give a sh*t.
even if market share its not the objective of se (profitability is) I believe that 7-8% might be reached this year. (vs 5% for 2003) |

mp3 ringtone support is very important to me, I would rather wait for the s700. with the exceptoion of the camera and design this phone is not much diffrent then my t630. |

Of course it is a big differnce. Larger screen, larger memory (fits ~450 pictures or ~375 video clips), better camera, 4x zoom, "flash light", video clip recording, built-in radio, mp3 player, Mascot Capsule plattform for 3D Java-gaming etc.
You still think it is a small step between T630&K700 ?
However, with an MS Duo slot as well it would be the perfect phone. But I like it anyway. |

ANyone else notice from the mobile review pictures, the K700 must be using the same UI as the Z1010 ...

The K700 is my next phone. Time to retire the T68 me thinks, and the S700, as nice as it is, I don't particularly fancy the swing models, since I sms a lot.
I just hope the K700 text messaging is fast "out of the box", not requiring a few firmware upgrades to speed things up like the T68/T610.

@Jason: No need of firmware upgrade to speed up the T610.It was fast frm the begining otherwise i wouldn't have bought it.

Yet again, SE impresses me so much.
When the T610 came out everyone complained about the memory and screen and a few people mentioned nokias having radios etc... and now SE appeared to have listened to the cries from the crowd and have come out with a phone (I'm thinking the K700, though the others too) which will probably 'whoop' (technical term) any similarly priced nokia handset.
I am, however, deeply worried about the shape of the K700. My T610 will stand vertically on any flat surface and I think this is a major selling point. It appears that this new device may have difficulties in that department having a rounded bottom and all. |
