I don't really care if it requires a cable to update, or just IR or BT.....I just want this service to be available! Someone mentioned 31st? That's tomorrow...can anyone out there with friends in the Industry make some calls to confirm? I would love to update my P800 and my T610

Heheh...I tried to get in under "updateservice" and deleted the P900 crap off the link....
The website said;
"No you Don't!" You are not authorised to view the page you requested...blah...blah...blah.....
Usually, it says "Oh No" the crap you requested does not exist!

First of all EVERYONE STOP YOUR FIGHTING! ok with that out of the way, I got a few concerns.
1: U.S.A. and their P.O.S. Carriers- Will we be allowed to upgrade without warranty void?
2: Locked Sim phones, will the upgrade unlock the phone as well?
3: Downgrading? Let's Face it, some firmware updates, well, are crash-happy. Will downgrading be available for those of us who wish we had a bug-free firmware?
4: Warranty? Hey, let's face it, if your phone happens to crash, while installing your new firmware, you have a very expensive paper-weight! Will they cover your phone? or is this a "try at your own risk" type thing.

hey those faqs are great!
Can't a company the size of SE afford a test server for these things?
Still, at least we get a sneak preview! |
