it would've been like a t610 on the inside, and a t230 on the outside! now that will set pple drooling. |

Today I had a go with the z600. Really nice! Sturdy phone.. a bit thick though. The new rally game seemed nice!
Also heard a bird whisper in my ear that soon we will be able to upgrade FW at home Now that is REALLY nice!

Cheers!

I've always liked clamshells, so the Z600 will be my first choice.
The different between T610 and Z600 is not the screen, ya know. It's bar-type vs. clamshells.

The difference between the T610 and the Z600 is that they are aimed at different niche markets
Plain and simple. And it appears the strategy is paying off, judging by all the bickering in this thread!
get over it already.
Now..... why exactly would you need a 101x80 external screen on a clam shell phone? Just curious, I really fail to see the use of it, as the only function for the outside screen imho is to see who's calling. Apart from that.... no need for it, so it doesn't have to be big, fragil and power consuming.
Just my 2 cents.

well, @ vlam,
i was thinking maybe some eye-candy might be nice, you know, like the samsung s300. and i still can't figure out how the picture phone book is useful if you dun have a color external scrn. i would've had to open the phone to SEE who's calling. |

@emanuelj
Maybe, itīs an Ericsson-employee-friend of mine who has got the z600. I guess i could ask him to take a few more pics..
Btw (and totally off topic )
He also told me yes, they have had problems with the protective coating on the t610 displays! Mine looks like it has been sandpapered with ultra fine grit paper! And i always baby my phones.. I knew it!
It wasnīt my fault!

you are babying your phones, do you want a real baby?
i think you could be a good father?
a T68 lives about 3-4 years, depending on how you treat them, the T610 also lives 3-4 years (with good treatment of corse) and the Z600 lives 5-6 years. |

Dana: Do you do Tarot cards as well?
Thereīs a four letter word and youīre full of it..
You claim life expectancy on one phone released this year and one thatīs not even publicly released yet?! Hello?
Btw I have two kids already..

no im not at all full of that S word, im sorry but you are wrong...
once again, the life of a phone is limited, even if its scares you to hear that, you have problems i know that, but i dont wanna bring them up here, i have one kid, he is 7 months old.
thanks |

Congrats on both your families.
Now back to phones..... I agree the life span of any phone gets shorter than that of it's predecessor simply because more and better phones are being released every couple of months.
I think the exception to the rule might be PDA-phones.... because they are a larger investment...... I think the ordinary guy/gal (like me) would buy one with the intention to use it for a considerable amount of time.
@ goh..... hmmm I dun actually use picture phonebook... therefore I guess I could do without a colored external screen
