The generic cable at virra mall is configured for test/flash kaya all you have to do is:
transfer the wire from
pin 6 to pin 4 ...
pin 7 to pin 5 and
cut the wire that leads to and whcih shorts both
pin 9 and 11..
bale that wire will go
only to pin 11
and pin 9 will have no connection
thats all and rock n roll ka na 
IMPT>Just make sure you don't short other pins into ea other
cause you might fry your fone nakupo (hehe biro lang)!!
what i did was insulate pins 4&5 with small heat shrink tubes para sureball hindi cla
magdikit

i'd just like to share something...
i went to smartnet a while ago to get my phone diagnosed. the problems were:
-my phone restarts when you enter an e-mail address in the "To: ... " section of an e-mail message....
-my batt looses 10-25% everytime i restart. but smartnet told me that i'd have to leave my batt for them to diagnose it, which means no phone i can use (unfortunately if i left it, i wouldnt know when i'll have the time to come back for it, so i didnt)
i proved it. they suggested to give me a new unit. and they did. and the new unit is far better than my old one. here's why:
-the two lumps on the "5" button were more protruded.
-the backlight is so damn BRIGHT ORANGE, all numbers and symbols were so lit well!!!
-the slide key was softer than that of my old phone.
-the "yes" and "no" buttons were noticeably flatter (not humped).
-doesnt hang when composing e-mail. 
-it's network-lock free!

sana yung phone ko may sira din para palitan nila... ganun lang pala kadali magpapalit. hmmm... pano kaya to masira? help!

ganun din sakin... diba that's normal? hindi ko na pinapansin yung meter... i still get to use it for two days bago nauubos yung battery. i think the software that monitors it is not that accurate...

ay alam ko na. does this count? minsan bigla lang magrequest ng pin tapos pag enter mo request parin ng request. i have to turn it off and on again tapos pagenter ng pin ok na. does this happen to any of you? ba't kaya nagkakaganito? usually this happen when.. like i insert the headphone... |

hello everyone! =) new user here, just got my t68m last wed. b4 i bot it i was informed that the batt life is around 2days.. so i was thinking ok lng.. same lng as d 8310, prob is ang bilis maubos ng batt! grabe.. batt ko ba may diperensya? i have to charge everyday.. sometimes dpa umaabot ng one whole day.. =(
and an extra costs 3,200! way too expensive..

oblique: Welcome... check and see if your GPRS is on. You can get longer battery life if it is turned off... works for my T39m... |

My GPRS is working again. Weird that it just suddenly conked out. I just removed the battery for a while, okay bigla
@oblique, 1 day batt life? Unless you were using it often it is probably defective.
