 | Hmm. Many have asked about the crackle with HBH-60 and R1L and still there hasn't been a definite answer... |

Got mine upgraded this morning and I confirm the volume is the same and the BT static is still there although its sound appears to have changed a little so it sounds continuous than a crackle but quieter at least on my HBH-30.

 | I just got my T610 on saturday, it got tha R1A081 in it. I will be recieving HBH-60 on tuesday and I´m wondering if I need to update my phone with the new firmware so it would work as it should?

(OT: How do you change your phone here in my profile? If you see a T610 as my pic I have already found it ;o))

 | I called SE support in the UK this morning and they tell me that R1L is not yet out in the UK.
I will call one or two service centres I know and see what they say...

 | Why does anyone ever listen to SE customer services? They never know anything until at least 2 weeks after the fact!
I did mine on Saturday at this place... if they are in your area...

And I'm happy to announce that the Icelandic input has finally arrived! It is awailable in the same language pack as Danish, German, French and Netherlands are receiving. For me, it's a good feeling to beeing finally able to write my name correctly on a SE phone.

 Sæll!
Is it only text input that you are able to do in Icelandic, or is the menu system in Icelandic as well? It's a shame that it isn't in the same language pack as Norwegian is. Is it possible to add Icelandic to the Norw., Swe. and Finnish language pack in my phone? I need Norwegian mostly, but Icelandic would also be nice to have. Með kveðju, Kristian André |

Well, a second call to SE revealed that they know about the upgrade and they don't have any service points in the Bedfordshire area, but I knew that already.

If I can't get to a service point then I suppose it means I'll have to send the phone to Celestica and get it upgraded there.

SE did say that if that doesn't fix the Bluetooth crackle then I should phone them back and they will see what they can do to fix it.

I'm beginning to suspect a hardware change is needed....

 | I dont know if anybody else has reported this, but when you take large photos with the cam with R1L you pretty much get what you see. With the fw before R1L the pics always got zoomed out and stuff. More accurate now! |

yes they does... but it's very rarely that this is released to the
servicepoints... so it's no use of asking what the changes are when you are @ a servicepoint... the main thing with R1L is that new languages have been added to some of the language versions. |

 | cytech, it seems they don't even tell there customer services people either which is strange when they are the first point of contact for customers with problems. I can't remember how many times I have been told (before I started getting cluey) to get an upgrade and see if that fixes a certain problem! Indeed as someone mentioned yesterday they didn't even know that R1L was available since last week! |
