T610 and HBH-30 crackle noise problem |

Hello,
I am using my HBH-60,and T610 with no problems(other than a little radio noise,as ALL bluetooth headsets have),I can roam easily 10(maybe 15 meters..?) with no static, drop outs...etc..
Can the headsets in Europe be the problem?-some sort of "first generation"batch?,any other Aussies using this combo? and have no complaints?
will post my manufacture details when I can bear to turn my phone off!
(will get the HBH-35,'cos i like the matt black boom,in a few weeks,so hope my luck holds!...)
cheers.
cheers

A quick question to people who have been to CPW to get the R1L firmware - I've heard that in the past CPW flashed the Vodafone live firmware onto the phones, leaving the really ugly customisations on the T610.
Anyone had any problem with the latest firmware upgrade? I've got an Orange T610 handset, and although I'd prefer to have the plain old SonyEricsson default, I certainly don't want CPW to start popping the Vodafone nonsense on it while they upgrade me to R1L...
Oh... and one other thing - are all my phone settings, contacts and messages lost after a firmware upgrade? |

I received a letter from SE Customer Complaint Depmartment today aplogising for the problem. They have requested that I send my headset and handset to Sony (Not Celestica) so they can replicate the problem. Which ever item appears to be faulty they will replace!
Result if you ask me. I will keep you posted as to what the outcome is

They answered me the same, except the swapping part. They wanted my handset and headset to examine and try. I answered them that they could just unpack one of their own to experiment on. They havenīt answered me after that... |

I just got a new HBH-60.
They said that HBH-60 was the faulty part but they did an upgrade nevertheless.
Guess what?
It's still noise (a bit better though)!
I'll stick with my old phone and sell the T610! |

Dude, you dun hav to worry coz it is the fault of the firmware. SE needs to come up with a better firmware for the crackling sound. I hav it on my phone too eventho i just upgraded my firmware. SE guys are just playing ignorant.

Hi all,
I own a T610 (great phone) which I ordered directly from SE UK and doesn't have any of the hissing problems other people have reported on here.
But - I do have a problem with my HBH-30 headset when using it with the phone (didn't have this problem with my T68i). When I use the headset with my T610 I hear a very loud crackle noise...
Does anyone know how to fix this problem - or does anyone use the T610 and HBH-30 without this problem ??
I'm not really sure how to fix this - do any of you have another Bluetooth headset that you use with the T610 that doesn't have any problems ? as maybe I need to sell the HBH-30 and get something that does work....Especially as I tend to use the headset 3-5 hours per day for teleconferences.
Thanks,
Mark

It seems that not all phone & headset combinations have this fault. So as long as they sort me out a heatset and handset that work well together i don't really care |

would love to know the results from SE if they have received anyones phone to "fix" or if they have indeed taken out of the box one of their own to see what happens..
Meanwhile, I am going to get yet another one from T-Mobile, on upgrade, as I know I can send it back if its still the same

Bought a T610 and HBH-30 BT headset - guess what: Crackle so bad you couldn't hear the conversation. I took phone and headset into my local Orange store and tried them both with different phones and headsets. A different HBH-30 worked perfectly (crystal clear!) with my T610 and my headset still crcakled on another phone. Great I though - that narrows that down, its just a faulty headset.
New headset arrives and also had phone software upgraded to latest R1L013 from R1A081 in the meantime. Crackle is now much better (i.e. you can now hear the other person) but it's still there. Also, the other person hears an echo and the connection to the phone is weak even if it's right next to you. Move more than about a metre or two away from the phone and the call starts to break up!
Phoned SE just and spoke to usual monkey with no idea. Went off to ask someone and came back pleased to tell me all I need to do is update software. Ha! Already done that and it didn't help Goes away again then says that it must be a faulty headset. Also, he insists that this is not a known problem that he has ever come across.
Bluetooth car kit works fine though, as it did with my old T68i.
So sending headset back and waiting on number 3....
Why can't SE just get the damn customer service sorted out! |

if acknowledge there's a problem it would be a very expensive admittal! If they keep denying it, only a handfull of people will get there problem resolved through a new headset or handset or both.
That way costs to them are kept to a minimum.
I had to send a 5 page letter to customer complaints. Now I've had to send both my headset and handset to (Not that micky mouse outfit Celestica) so they can replicate the fault and they will replace either or both.

I've been following this thread since buying my Sony/Ericsson T610 2 weeks ago. I used to own an Ericsson T68i which I used with my Sony/Ericsson HBH60 headset. The pair worked perfectly together. With the T610 it's a different story. I can have the handset in my shirt pocket and the headset on my ear, obviously, and the bluetooth connection will last 5 seconds at most before dropping the call and returning the call to the handset. The quality whilst it is connected is terrible. Orange, my service provider, just aren't interested and refuse to replace the handset all though I'm getting close to it after many visits to the shop and ringing customer services. Sony/Ericsson are proving to be useless too. "We are not aware of this problem..." is total crap. I'm running the old R1A081 firmware and I'm not sure if the firmware upgrade will rectify this problem? Funny thing is that the Bluetooth connection to any other device such as other phones and PC's is fine. Why is it only headsets that suffer?
I forgot to mention that the my other halfs HBH30 doesn't work too well with the T610 either. Must be the handset at fault. Her Siemens S55 pairs with both the SE HBH30 and SE HBH60 with no problems. Strange how 2 SE devices work so bad together

Guyz, I have tried it with da new HBH-35 and it is da same. Now I'm stuck with both the HBH-30 & 35. Both have the same problem. it's got nothing to do with the headsets. IT'S THE PHONE!! I have R1L and there is a slight improvement. I think Ericsson needs to buck up and work their a$$e$ off to give us a new firmware.

I'm off to get my T610 firmware upgraded tomorrow lunchtime. I shall let you all know if the upgrade rectifies my T610 / HBH60 problem. Keep your fingers crossed
