@boysaint nice point about the sw99. Glocks and especially HK's have always been overbuilt adding an extra margin of safety specially when using +P loads. @g17 the steyr pistol is available at nashe enterprises. Haven't seen the mauser m4 here though.

G17- i don't think Clark27 will ever see that message of yours, about the hinay-hinay sa girls, hahahah! he is not interested in this weapons/firearms forum. their concept of peace is to avoid these things, and be defenseless and give yourself to the bad guys. anyway... but yes, finally... Sony-Ericsson learned how to market their products. and it's nice that they put a very competent techie guy like Clark27 there, for assistance. if this would continue, the consumers will realize how nokia had been fooling them all these years.
Doc- the Steyr Pistols are here already? how much are they? the 9mm and .40 are available here? i want one!
Re: M4... i think G17 was talking about the M4 5.56 carbine, made by either Colt, BushMaster, or Knights. or some other great copy models.
another movie coming soon, showing all these nice toys.... SWAT, the movie (Michelle Rodriguez, Collin Farrell, S Jackson, LL CoolJ). i just don't know how accurate they would portray it. sometimes concept movies like these ruin the truth, for the sake of hollywood. i hope they show them using the weapons correctly.
just renewed license-to-own, for a few of my toys.... damn that's a big amount of money and time! but look at what happened yesterday.... or for the past few months... hold-ups and all! and all those firearms dont have licenses! i envy the bad guys, they are allowed by the police and joey lina to carry firearms (and use it!), while us law-abiding and tax-paying people can't carry any defense item anywhere! |

Yeah I misread, I meant the Mauser M2. Speaking of the M4 carbine, I have an M16A1 Commando (don't like it when they call it a baby or an infant which usually refers to a 16.5 and 10.5 inch barreled variant, respectively, when in fact its somewhere in between) with the 11.5 inch barrel and I like it better when using iron sights than the M4 which has the removable carrying handle cum sight rail. The M4 is good only if you're going to use it with a different sighting system like the ACOG's or even red dot sights which I think are impractical although very flashy and special forces"ish".
PTT's are easy enough to procure nowadays for 600 pesos good for 3 months so I think its not too bad, although PTC's are the way to go (damn expensive though at 12,000 php), also renewed some of my licenses to own and it costs 3,650 php per, including the neuro-tests. Man, this is indeed an expensive hobby albeit a very fulfilling one if you are so inclined. I can't believe there are too few of us with a passion for guns here, I was hoping there were more of us when I started this thread, well, I guess I was wrong.
Regarding the steyr pistols, they were available during the last gunshow at Nashe and were retailing for less than 40,000, can't remember the exact price. They were available in 9mm, .40 and .357 sig. They look unusual specially with the trapezoidal sights.

@doc: I didn't see those Steyr Pistols at the last gunshow! Are you talking about the gunshow held at the Mega Mall early this year or was there another gunshow somewhere else? Oh well, maybe I should go to Nashe's store. Where is Nashe anyway? Last time I went to the Mile Long Building in Makati, they weren't there anymore. About the Tomb Raider II pistols, you mean those H&K space guns in the posters are for real??? Hmmm, interesting.
@boysaint: the T610 girl at the SMCity is kind of boyish looking pero maganda pa rin! The T610 girls of Rockwell are probably sexier, as if you haven't noticed, they are proud of their bods. Is it true they are going to extend the T610 promo up to this weekend? We should visit Rustan too. |

G17 yes, the p11 underwater pistol exists in reality. Bad thing about it is that after firing the pistol's 5 sealed barrels which are arranged around a central axis, you have to send the whole barrel assembly back to hk to be reloaded and resealed. Nashe is at the 3rd floor of makati cinema square and yes i was talking about the gunshow held at megamall early this year.

doc, i dont think you are wrong. but maybe just that some of them doesnt want to tell they have guns. yeah i've had experience discussing these items a while back in the pinoy forums, and i myself are wondering where they are now. it seems they just want others to hear they handle guns (correctly or wrongly) in an unrelated forum, but fizzle out when no one else (ie: the uninitiated, the girls, etc) are there to listen in awe about their "activity".
whats scary is that most of those who say they have guns then are actually ignorant owners, who are untrained, who are liable to be hurting their ownself, or their own family members. those who doesn't know the difference between a baseball bat and a tanto knife...much so the difference between a .45acp SW-model-25 revolver, and a .45acp 1911.
doc, if you would allow non-users of SE products here... maybe i could invite other respectable gun-owners here to join us. if it's ok with you.
pero teka, doc.... actually this is a nice turn-out for a forum after all !!! di ba ito pa lang ang forum na wala pang nag-away!! (unless someone will deliberately swoop in and start it)
or unlike the other forums where all you read is "saan tayo iinom", or "saan ang gimik" or "EB sa beerhouse" ....makes you feel like you are in the ManilaTonight forum. at least this one.... you openly announced it will be about guns. not about cellphones, and then veer and stray into beer-drinking. |

by the way.... Doc, do you have any idea if those Steyr M9s are still available in Nashe? and i hope they are priced only that much, if not lower! |

Nice points to ponder, I think you have a very good grasp on the filipino male psyche. That's why its nice to discuss these things in a dedicated forum. Everybody who can contribute is of course welcome to join in the discussion.

I think you're right about this. I have to be careful with what I wish for
I'll check on the steyr pistols, will post again tomorrow once I find out.
By the way, since you said that you just renewed your licenses to own as I have, that means we have the same birth month. Belated happy birthday

G17, you're not going to attract others into this forum even if you talk about those T610 promo girls, heheheh! the forum title itself bores them. anyway... yeah i'm also looking for a cheaper Tanto-style blade, one which you may not be worrying about too much when you leave it stuck in a criminals neck.
Doc, thanks for checking out the Steyr M9, M40, M357, from any store with available stocks! i was waiting for that one for sometime now! yeah, tell me what you find, in this forum! thanks very much!
PS- G17, now that you mention those, lets meet at the T610 promo at the powerplant mall this sunday. |

Doc,
wow that's great news for me, Doc! so i guess i'm putting off my desire for a Glock35 for now, and go for this M9
("M" here means medium, right? the "S" models are the small, and so their website says they're working on the "L" version [target version]now, but in 9mm only. in Europe the 9mm is used in IDPA! iba sila, ano?)
Thanks again Doc! now me and G17 are scheduling a visit to Nashe this weekend. Can't wait to fire one!

.....but wait! when is our stupid gun ban??? when i get this M9, will it be tangled with, or coincide, with this ban? geezzz, what a bummer! baka next year ko na makuha yan ah! sorry di ko na kasi alam sched ng mga stupid gun-ban na yan eh.
anyway, yeah Doc, i saw an ad in the newspapers by "Guns for the Good Guys" ....they're selling BushMaster M4s now. and there's a note below the ad saying: SORRY, FOR GOVERNMENT, MILITARY, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT SALE ONLY.
i believe the policy, no problem. and i don't doubt their word on this. i just wonder how or where the criminals get their weapons ( i mean the heavy weapons). if the PNP and DILG claim they have a tight grip with the guns sale....???? oh well.....? |

No problem. The Stupid Gun ban if I remember right lasts for 180 days, not so sure but I think it will start in February and end in July of next year. Since the guys at Nashe say that they have the gun in stock, I think you have ample time. However, as I mentioned before, I'm not really impressed with their service as they seem to have a hard time getting their gun licenses released when you buy from them as what happened with my USP .45 which took 2 months for them to order and 3 months to have it released from customs and cleared by FED. Regarding the proliferation of assault rifles and other class III firearms in criminal or even "law abiding" civilian hands, well we know that most of them are procured through LGU's, thru the PNP/military(same people tasked to restrict their sale) or outright smuggled in. | |
