Right, I've created a java chat room here (sorry, wappers):

It took me about 15 minutes to create, and as such I've paid no attention to the design aspect of the page whatsoever! If people use it, I'll come up with a decent design and maybe even add more rooms.
It's based on a free chat room applet and as such, there is a single pop-under window that appears when you enter the room. There's nothing I can do about it, because I'm certainly not prepared to pay for the add free version just yet. Again, if it takes off, this could be a possibility.

Well, it's 7.11 pm GMT and the chatroom is not available! Could this be due to high volumes of visitors?

I tested your chat and there is no one there. That is what they told earlier in this thread, the chat will be popular the first day's and then no one will visit it anymore.
