Oh yes that's a feature I wouldn't mind loosing, baffles me why they've left this in but removed 960fps!?!
Thanks

That is has ufs3.0 and ddr5.
As mentioned by DPR on article about this phone, the 1/1.7" f1.7 is equivalent to Full Frame f8.
For example, 1/2.6" + f1.6 from X1 is equivalent to Full Frame f10.
That is a huge difference.
Video of 1 does not mention, but video of 10 says about night mode.
Great bonus: looks like no site is impressed with S20 ultra photo skills. More underwhelmed. 😏

@hawk - don't go being a troll about S20 here. seems like a lot of the issues with samsung camera right now is software based, so they can fix them. maybe. but either way.. it's not like xperia 1 was blowing everyone out of the water last year. and we don't know what x1m2 is going to do yet either.

Before any reviews on the Mark2 all I can see is positivity from all media sources. Can't remember the last an Xperia model had such good press and this is showing as it's easily the most viewed device over on GSM Arena right now. Can't wait to start reading and watching the reviews over the coming weeks.
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

It is 1/1.33" with 108MP.
People expected to be maybe 20-30% better than s10.
Maybe it is 2-3%.
Ricciolo said people should not expect it to do better than s10.
Again they turned world into plastic.
Sony has weaker hardware, there is no obligation to match or be better.
Software cant do miracles, otherwise no hardware upgrade was needed.

Doesn't anybody care that Sony phones are toooo tall and narrow? I would prefer true compact size like it was Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. |

I was worried about that too. The way reviewers were going on about the height of the phones you'd think anyone would need a ladder to reach the top of the screen.
However, in fact, the Xperia 5 is very easy to use and I think it does deserve it's Compact moniker.
Now I'm leaning towards the Xperia 1 mk2 because I want to be able to use that glorious screen.

I agree. I found Xperia 1 large at first, coming from XZ1 Compact but now actually find the tall screen very user friendly. I will upgrade to 1 II if there is a good headphone bundle on offer... |

So when will it become available? |

You barely notice difference between pixel 2 and 4.
At some point, hardware becomes bottleneck.
Mate 30 Pro would never have same results with old 1/2.9 from mate 10.
I dont have small hands.
But even if you put a XZ on my hand, I cant use thumb to reach notification.
Why would ppl try to do same on device that is almost 1 in taller?
Since C5 there is the 1 Hand Mode for bigger phones.
Few UI tricks to pull down notifications.
What bothers me about big phones, is the fact they can easily be half out of pocket.
21:9 phone with height of XZ2c would be very narrow.
Almost impossible to type without going to landscape mode.
