You should go the Iphone route then IMO
Never have to worry about updates and support
I never have to worry about those things on Samsung either, it's not even a matter of discussion when it comes to them, I know the S5 will get great support as my S4 did, thanks.

Samsung certainly have one hell of a powerhouse once again, tops all new phones:

Now what I'd like to see is how the battery life goes, Samsung did a great job with the GS4 and Note 3, but apparently GS5 has some brand new power saving tweaks:
Galaxy S5's stellar battery life might be due to Lucid Logic's battery saving tech

You know your marketing budget is too big when you can convert iPhoneArena to SamsungArena. Now there's two Samsungarena(s).
Shame this won't help the soon to be dwindling sales. |

I'd say it's pretty innovative when the S.Korean Medical Industry are reviewing your handset for possible medical use by Physicians:

Shame this won't help the soon to be dwindling sales.
I'm sure they'll still be much more than your fav manufacturer.

Seems Samsung really is on a path to "dwindling" sales:
Samsung Galaxy S5 Breaks Records With Over 100K Pre-Registrations At T-Mobile In Under Two Days
Tech Crunch
Even if I don't like it, it seems Samsung has another hit on their hands. Things are going to get more interesting when the phone is released and the marketing campaign goes into top gear, that is 100K pre-registrations before any proper full on marketing.
enjoying the Samsung haters, this has become an annual thing, they hate hard on a new Samsung flagship, they hope it will fail to sell but the opposite happens and their favourite OEM gets crushed and they create all kinds of excuses for it, hilarious.

I thought I didn't like the backside but looking at the blue edition changed my mind.
Heart rate monitor is cool, very usable for sports too.

Lol, and so the cycle continues, 130% over a phone that managed 10million in a month, I agree, it seems to be another hit by Samsung.
I bet the Water+Dust Resistance is the main drawer of the crowds, and if it really is I find it hilarious as Sony had a Dust+Water Resistant flagship a year ago and could only wish to garner this sort of interest globally on their smartphone cue the excuses that will be spewed in the Z2 thread and Rumors thread this year, it's going to be an entertaining one.

Well, this is as expected. You can't expect people from all over the world to know immediately that Samsung's flagship for the the first time in years to be inferior in terms of specifications(Disclaimer: inferior in some ways: camera, construction, sound). But I might be wrong. After all, this is the mobile market! Probably, Samsung had garnered enough fanboys that they need not to be the best to be top seller. |

most people are not that tech savvy and dont have a clue about ram, processor size etc, only see that its the new galaxy and percieve it to be the best and will buy it over sony,lg and htcs flagships.

I agree. But me at least here in UK I think I would choose to pay £100 less and get a Note 3 instead . Anyway it is good to see that the starting price here un UK is £550 (less than the £600 asked for s4 last year)

Good news, seems the memory situation in the Galaxy S5 16GB isn't as bad as we thought:
Galaxy S5 offers 10.7 GB of usable storage space on 16GB model
