When it is dark, my Mini Pro uses the led as a flash automatically, no app installed

The thing is that, it would be useful if, for example, camera360 pro used the camera led flash, because it's 90% compatible with our X10 mini, and in my oppinion is a great app, but we need flash. However we can use it during the day...

Hey x10 mini Gods!

I love my new x10 mini, however it came with quite a few pre-installed apps that I am not interested in. Does anyone know how I can get rid of them? Is there an app to remove pre-installed apps that I don`t want, without getting rid of everything?

Thnx!

To my best knowledge, the only way to remove preinstalled apps is by rooting your device.

Personal finance/money management on the go is very important to me.

Could any of you X10 mini owners test out to see if EasyMoney for Android and/or mint.com for Android works? Do the widgets that show your current balance show on the home screen? Does EasyMoney work when you are not connected to the internet (I believe mint has an internet depedency)?

I am planning to upgrade from w880i to iPhone4 or X10 mini. If you answer Yes to all above questions, then I am sold on the X10 and staying in the SE camp.

Thx!

@false79, I just installed EasyMoney to test it out for you, it installs, it works... text is kinda small but seems to work ok, widget shows account balance.

Thx jplacson for trying it out. Does EasyMoney work when data traffic is disabled, easy to create and review records offline? I only have a voice plan. Does the app work in landscape mode, as in does read/look better? Thx again for taking the time.

Mash-Up is a place where you can share your favorite Android apps.

false79, seems to work without data connection... but since I'm not too familiar with the app, I can't tell if it's very easy to work on the small screen vs what you're used to.

Maybe you can try it out in the store... the app is a free download, maybe you test it out... but so far, I can tell you that it works.

My on-going battery saga blog entry.

**I've also found a nice music/video player I like, Zimly pretty cool looking and seems very polished.

@jplacson: Thx man. I got me the X10 mini for $319CAD so I can use easy money and it seems to be doing pretty good for me. I dunno if it's just me but after extensively using the phone, I get nauseous. I guess i have to work my brain in.

I think it's the small fonts. Android should come with global font control.

Regarding my battery saga, I've able to reduce the apps to the following:
Juice Defender
Advanced Task Killer
Wifi Power Manager

With these 3, I seem to get a reliable 2 day charge. Although realistically, why push it? I charge my phone every night even if it's at 50%. I want to enjoy my phone...not win some battery contest.

On that note, I also posted a review on Barnacle Wifi Tether for those that have rooted their phones. If anyone has gotten it to work with the screen off WITHOUT having to have something else running in the background, please post tips and tweaks!

@jplacson

Have you tried changing WiFi policy in settings to never turn WiFi off ? By default it is set tur turn WiFi of when the screen goes black. This may however require that you have version 1.2.A.1.174 of the mini software since earlier versions have been reported by some to have issue with the policy settings (my mini however have not had any policy issues).
