The N8 camera interface cannot be ported to the Satio as it relies on Nokia's camera driver, I believe. |

so take a look at that german site, and combine your video bitrate increase with his "compression" and we have ourselves a winner so far  waiting to see your new camdriver now
EDIT: and if someone can do a good photo comparison between this/original vs that german driver, it would be great. I did one 2-3 shots, but didnt see any difference between original and this modded (from german site). Maybe i did it wrong, you cant make a good comparison if angel is not the same, or phone is held in hand. So far i dont see any bigger file or anything. So waiting for your results. Bring them on Satio owners, test your driver so we can see what to improve.

Is someone will answer to my question?!!!
Why everytime i start the camera file 10208696.cre is replaced with original one???
And why 10282EDC.txt in Z: drive is different size than modded one???
Even when i made the files to be system files they are replaced with default ones.
How to make it work and preserve the modded files without being replaced?!!!

Hello all I`ve made everything as you describe for the cam driver. I am with a hacked Satio with latest firmware. None of the files you said I should delete were there,I triple checked(my files are sorted alphabetically) .I have enabled c2z and open4all and copied the files in the directory. After phone turn off and some pictures the file 10208696 turned to .cre 2.38kb and the file 10282EDC is still text file and in the folder persists there is no file 10282edc.cre. I have moved edc and 696 to persist and renamed them to cre there was a copy in the be9 folder of the edc file. I restarted the phone took some pictures the text file edc was gone  and now both files were in the persist folder the edc.cre is its original size but the 696.cre is still 2.38kb.I took pictures before and after and I can say now is better, I assume everything is fine now. Tell me if I went wrong somewhere please thanks in advance

i olny had 1 file... the EDC was lacking in my phone. i only copied the txt file to persist and thats it. I didnt check if the txt file size is different after restart. I dont even mind. About changes, so far i dont see any, so eighter its not working or its minor change. u dont need C2Z..
EDIT: checked again, and its same size as it should be, and non of the files appear that i deleted (10206989 or whatever, it doesnt show up).
Reset all to default, and delete the 2 files (or 1, depending on how many u got), enable open4all, copy txt file to persist, and restart phone. thats all... no c2z, no nothing. plain and simple.

If it was so simple so why the 10282.edc is different than modded one?
If you noticed there are comments in the modded file. in Z drive file they are missing.
Is it supposed when modded file is copied to pressists folder after restart to be copied in Z drive by phone?
Or it uses it directly from C drive(because some people said C2Z is not needed)?
And why copy 10208696.txt file when its overwriten everytime camera starts?Even if you make it system. |

like is said. I use the file from the german site (he has only 1 text file), and no c2z needed.. i just copy paste it to persist 1029..b and restarted phone. nothing appeared and nothing disappeared for me.

How can we increase shutter speed of the camera? Sometimes flash doesn't suit the environment but when not using flash, you get blurs. This phone is driving me crazy. |

The main reason why I bought this phone was that in the past all SE that I have held (none symbian) it was possible to modify camera. Now, when 12 Mpixels was out, which most of us hopped to have better camera (among all other features that this phone has), and it seems that for none is a challenge to modify its camera? I personally do not have this knowledge, but I do not believe that none of us does not have it? |
