Globe will launch p800 by the 23rd of January at maybe a few thousand pesos cheaper than the srp of 39k
But you will be tied up to a high plan and the unit will not be be an open line unit. |

just visited the hub today to check out p800 pricing. one word: ripoff! for the cheapest plan, they are offering the phone for 39k. if you get the most expensive plan, then they can give you the phone for 31k. those prices are not attractive at all considering that you will be getting a locked phone (and the fact that the openline versions with 1 year warranty can be had for about 37k now).

Ya, well... the SE P800 and Nokia 8910 aren't really for the mass-market... so these phones will not be offered cheap, even with a subscription.
Globe was initially rumored to offer the P800 at around P26-P28K w/ the G-Max plan... but they can't afford to give it at that price.
They might be able to offer it cheaper after a few more months... but not now that it's still new, and only available in limited numbers.
Semicon will always give preference to retail, unlocked units. And if there are any left over... then maybe Globe will be able to get a few more.
But for now... people who want to get the P800 cheap will have to wait a while. This isn't a Nokia ya know! SE doesn't overprice their phones the way Nokia does, so don't expect a radical price drop. |

i actually have one already =) i was just commenting on the globe pricing scheme since i thought their prices would be much lower than those of other dealers. |

I am still confirming from my friend about the alleged P800 for only 34k.(at may tubo na raw sya don). According to him it is from an authorized dealer of he also claims that it has a warranty that you can also bring to an authorized service point.. Hindi ako titigil hangang hindi ko nalalaman.. |
