C902 seems to have been withdrawn from the O2 website. it is no longer showing on contract anymore. Only on prepay.

I did all of that. Cheers. However...When I go to switch the phone on, I type in the PIN, and up pops a message 'Configuration error. Pleas contact your network operator or service centre'. I'm now worried that I may have voided any warranty etc. Any suggestions? After all the wife will have to take it back all that

You've done something wrong when you flashed your phone. If you used the Davinci client. Did you make sure that the Finalise option was ticked. If you didn't put a tick in the box then your phone wouldn't have flashed properly and you get a Configuration Error prompt.

I'm sure it was ticked as it is set as default. I think I may have found the problem.

When I connect I get this

Customization info:
1208-7428 R6A
1204-8246 R3BA035
VFE-LIVE-A

The first line relates to the vodafone CDA, which is strange because I flashed it yesterday with the debranded firmware, where as the middle line doesn't seem to be listed on the Davinci Client. Mabe there is a conflict there?

I've highlighted the line 'R3BH002 Customized UK/Luscious Red 1209 1706'. Do you think this will be ok? My fingers are ready to click! The finalized checkbox is definitely checked too. Anything else you think I need to do?

Yes mate that should be fine if you have the Red C902.

The second line is correct for unbranded phones (1024-8246 Then the current firmware version)

It looks like your CDA customization hadn't been changed from Voda to Generic which was causing the configuration error.

You could have contacted Davinci customer support and explained what had happened. They should have given you a free credit due to the client not flashing your phone properly.

I've got both the K850 and the C902.The 902 build quality is 100 time's better. They both run the same software platform although the 902 seems to be more stable.902 has a few more applications wheras the K850 has a xenon flash and Micro SD (transflash) card support. If the 902 had a xenon flash it would have been the same size as the K850 due to the size of the capasitor's (sp?) Needed to power the flash.

A mate of mine has the C902 and is having problems with recording/video playback, its stuttering and missing chunks out! Sounds like a sw issue to me, are there any updates on the horizon that might address this problem??

Well looks like the 'recurrent alarm' bug was invoked on me this morning.

I purchased a 4GB Sandisk M2 card last week and copied some media onto it. The MP3 being used to wake me up at 7am is on the card. The alarm did go off yesterday but today I found myself still in bed at 10.10am.

After missing an important meeting at 10am I wasn't best pleased with this. I performed some testing with the recurrent alarm and can definately say that there is a problem there. Different MP3s were attempted but failed to go off. I can only get the phones standard sounds to work but nothing else.

Lets hope SE sort this soon otherwise i'll have to dig out my 1970s alarm clock, yes the one that only has AM stations.

To add, I did upgrade my FW to R3CA033.

Another thing that happened today is that the vibrate feature failed to work when on silent. When I also made a call the other person couldn't hear me. A power off sorted these out.
