Humans (at least normal, healthy humans) are capable of distinguishing between millions of colors. (Google is your friend, people.) If you need to check, go see an image of a color gradient (try a monochrome gradient) on a 262K color screen and 16M color screen. The 262K will exhibit color banding.

Uhm, if you're comparing screens of the same pixel resolution, then naturally, the smaller the screen size, the crispier/sharper it is. For example, W880's screen will beat W910's in terms of "crispyness"/sharpness. (Same with images actually; you reduce images and they'll look sharper.)

Maybe you meant W910's screen is brighter than N95's?

@plankgatan

Ha Ha, shame you couldn't read the whole of the thread as it was already established that was taken with the light sensor on the default 50% just like your picture that you were so happy to post.

Tomorrow i will try and get to a phone shop as don't have a camera to take a shot of a N95 8GB screen with and will see for myself this wonderful K850 screen and put my phone next to it for comparison and try a take a shot of both if i can arrange that.

Well that's still only an attempt at half your claims answered how about this great Gallery view we are all waiting to see then?

@croatia

None of us are idiots but it is not just how many colours that we can see it is the fact that the more colours the better the image looks to the Human eye with better depth and clarity. As other wise why would makers of LCD and Plasma screens spend so much time and money developing screens that can handle Billions of colours then?

This idea is just a weak argument used by SE fans to to justify why SE is so far behind, just wait and see as soon as SE has these screen's or better it will be just so fantastic and how brilliant it is.

Much like when i was going on about HSDPA many SE fans said it's no big deal it's not necessary now at last SE has started implementing it, it's great it's fantastic and amazing. This if SE doesn't have it isn't necessary and rubbish but if they do it's fantastic is just so transparent and ever so slightly pathetic.

kristianm.....yes both....(brighter..and more "crispy" colors

im not sure, but i think both w910 & k850 have the same type of screen...(i dont want to brag), BUT the screens are amazing.....(even in strong sunshine)

i know N95 also have a good screen...both looks good, but in a different way.

dogmann...i didnt read anything..i just passed the link over

ps...isnt this thread about k850 vs N82 ?????

i have a very good question to your Nokia fanboys

can i use the 1200mAH (BL-6F) battery to this phone, instead of the original 1050 mAh (BP-6MT) ????

if i could that, im more sure to buy it

Why what difference would that make it has a slightly smaller battery but then has a slightly smaller screen, but as it has demand paging that increases the battery life anyway by up to 25% . Really i think you should stick with your K850 as i think you may find it embarrassing having a phone that is smarter than you.

Good one there Marc.
Having experience both SE and Nokia, I believe I can post some personal experience. Use to believe that SE phone cameras are good, they are there's no denying that. My 750i shoots good pictures. However after using a N95, the 5 mp really makes a difference. The K850i is no doubt the SE premier phone but looking at comparisons of photos and pictures taken provided in various forums showed that the N95 8GB is more than a match for the SE K850i. I believe the upcoming N82 will exceed the K850i as a phone, not just in the camera dept. That will be my next cam phone. Now still using my son's SE W810i as a temporary phone.

N82 will exceed the K850i as a phone

^^ I believe if we talk about as a phone we talk about the primordial function of the phone - user experience, GUI, ergonomics, signal quality and size - and i believe N82 cannot top K850 very easy by the fact that some find S60 less user friendly than A200(which quitely resembles most other phone's interfaces) although S40 came to resemble quite alot of the S60 so that nokia users of the former would find it less hard to transitionize to the latter interface.

i think you're referring the exceeding thing but as a computer thing - so i conclude that we should say it like this:

N82 will exceed K850 as a computer

N82 will not exceed K850 as a phone - not even all other basic phones from any manufacturer at least

I like it when people come to say about any stupidity simply because of their ego.
Dog and plank, can't you be a bit more friendly and try to understand each other instead of fighting like young roosters?

Whoa buddy, that's just wrong and uncalled for! Instead of blaming the whole of England for everything that ever happened to you, do you ever think that maybe you are the culprit?!

. . . reminds me to ORDER at KFC !

The problem with HEATED arguments like this is when ONE person INITIATES naming the OTHER party/guy . . . NAMES Everyone should participate: Maturely, Intelligently and Prudently . . . let us NOT forget: Marly

You should always HOLD your HORSES and NOT let it GO mates !

@planks & dog - Now, now . . . GO kiss and make-up . . . oki [addsig]
