silver was easily my choice on the w880 and I also like it here but the mocha also has my attention unlike thos alternative w880 colour of orange and black (flame black)

I agree with that as well. The silver W880 is much nicer than the black W880 IMO - a lot shinier and flashier (without the orange keys as well!).
With the W890, I'm not sure if I like the silver or the brown better. The brown one has looked very nice in all the pics, i.e. this one:
Whereas the silver really has a 'wow' factor design which would (judging from how the W880 looked in silver) draw lots of attention.
And the black still looks kinda weird. Too dark and I've always found that black brushed metal looks cheap or 'fakish' - hard to explain.

FYI: One of the assitants at SE store in Kensington (London) had the W890i and the W380i. Had a very brief play with the 890i, quite like it, what the 880i should of been.
Bigger screen, better keypad, etc. They were better for texting, felt like my W850i, just a tad narrower, but more comfortable than the W880. Overall feel was quite nice in terms of the material in the case, nice plastic, smooth and felt good in the hand.
This was the brown one which looked more bronze brown in person. If you anyone is passing by, have a pop in to see if you can have a play. Should of taken some pictures, but was in bit of hurry. doh! oh well.
Hopefully, there will be another demo day at the SE store soon!
Cheers,
ps. The guy said the phone was a prototype but it didnt have the usual SE123 on it, it had the model no proper on it. Expected Jan or Feb/Mar release according what I heard.

Might be a recording LED like the one on the W910 which lights up when a video is being taken.
And "expresso black' was an official colour, but it seems to have been removed by SE. Only mention is now on the press release.

Accelerometer is just a gimmick imo. It looks nice on the iphone but sometimes the time taken for the transition to form is too long. Overkill imo. Its only good on the iphone as it incorporates coverflow ect...im not at all bothered about it not being on the w890. Id rather they improve the quality of the pics and video. |

Also is the sound quality on this the same as on the k850? If so apart from cosmetic looks is there any real advantage of this over the k850? |

Just buy the T650i instead, then you get a better camera with AF and LED-flash and just near as good music player and near as slim phone! |

Hmmmm.......
Really wonder how this phone is going to be - compared to Nokia's 6500 Classic. Both are beauties in their own right (esp. the black vs. the Expresso Black of w890i).
WHEN IS THE EXPRESSO BLACK COMING!!! >.
Else I am "forced" to take the Nokia....
