i already flash to the new firmware. seems java interface more smoother, and the animation for wallpaper working fast. and the speed for menu scrolling has a lot improvement. and i can browse my k810i more smoothly, especially when comes to view picture in gallery. |

Don't worry about it vladn02!  Maybe it's not out yet. I know Wotan have it, but maybe nothing free yet. Keep an eye out for it though please!
So what do people think of the new firmware? K800 and K810.

OK.. I tell my phone to check for updates but it says it has the latest software version...why is that? |

that is due to the region you are in, mine did the same thing. you can manually update or update via wonton. alot of links and support to update vias XS++
btw what is your firmware version?
to find out hit

arrows are left and right with joystick.
go into
-> Service info ->software info
there it will say what firmware. also what phone?

Also try selecting like UK or US for Region in SEUS when your doing an update see if it does anything different. ( thats what SE gave me for a response when I inquired them about it.

@Vlad - The Casino royal stuff is @ Top Sony. I downloaded custom pack K800i_CDA102511_129_R1A_Generic_Trade_ZA_South_Africa from them.
To all - I flashed latest K810 firmware and upon start up I get prompted if I want to flash my memory stick. If select "yes" it asks for phone code - Does anyone know what this code is eg "Is it the same code that unlocks network?". If select "no" phone boots up normally, no problem. I'm just curious as to what this phone unlock code is. Please if anyone has encountered this, please help. Ps. I didn't leave my mem stick in the fone when flashing, so it can't be that.

The phone unlock code is usually 0000. That's the default code. |

Thanks! I suspected it would be because of that. But I can't be bothered doing an XS++ and neither do I want to give out money just so that I can flash my firmware.
And besides, there's a simpler way to determine your software version:
Menu>Settings>General>Update Service>Software version.
I'm still at R6BC002.

I'm trying to flash my K800 with K810 R8BA024 firmware but I'm not sure if "K810_R8BA024_FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52" is the same with EUROPE_1, because I need that languages.

yeah there is a difference, but i dont know if it affects it much,...or if it does then how? I had china unlocked phone i put euro 4 and generic fw and seems to work... still cant figure out the language thing...

Bits n pieces of the update:
when you use your phone as a USB connection... there is a new ICON for that...
i guess it comes with the new firmware...

Just connected my K810 via USB. Didn't notice any difference with it.
