Ok i know there is google for this but i wonder if anyone has the simplest way to put your own *.mp3 ringtones onto your iphone? Is there a third-party app to do it or just some tricks in iTunes?

Yeah auto-correction is cool but what if english is not the language you`re typing in?

I dont want to go through "ibrickr" procedure, because it includes something with firmware which i surely dont want to mess with. If anyone has a simple solution for adding your own *.mp3 ringtones (without messing with fw) onto iphone please share it with us.

@haynesycop

I'm amazed that the limitations of Bluetooth on the iPhone that has been highlighted and discussed all over the place you were unaware that is one of the things it can't do and why people complained as soon as it was known. I don't know if any of the hacks and customization apps around have got round this or not but on a bog standard iPhone this can not be done.

to be honest I'm not to bothered if it can't be done although it does seem rather odd not to have it. Even if I'd bothered to research it beforehand I still would have bought one. Thanks for the reply.

Just be happy that things went in your favour for once, at least you didn't buy an 8gb and receive a 4gb as that would of been a problem.

If you are using a Mac, why don't you just import the picture into iPhoto? The iPhone is made for the iLife software, I can't understand all these people with Mac's asking how to get photo's, contacts and appointments etc. Have you never looked at the software on your Mac? Don't mean to sound funny but there's so many Mac users asking the same questions!
