Be patient guys, the credits do come through.

I also had the same problem with the registration image at the GSMForum website but I'm not too bothered now as I've got a lovely debranded P990i

CDA changed ok .. didnt bother checking if I had 2 cda numbers though .. just went straight on to seus and its picked it up as a generic model and is 29% through doing the firmware.

How many people get the urge to pull the lead out while its updating .. I always do

Mine is upgrading as I type. I did check and saw two CDAs but it's upgrading with World Generic 1 so fingers crossed!

All done. Now only one CDA and no trace of Vodafone

Many thanks to spectre77.

I bought two credits just in case.

Great stuff this, received the credentials earlier today and went about flashing to the generic firmware and glad to say there is no sign of Voda anywhere anymore!

Thanks for the info on this thread and to several members. Much appreciated. Now, quite a bit of catching up to do i see!

is there an answer to the M600/W950 question of whether it can use this service yet?

I bought two credits yesterday around midnight and login + pasword just arrived. Can't wait going back home to upgrade... I'm in the office 'til 6pm today : you've no idea how annoying this can be.

My help works Fine!

Got itchy fingers here, got one spare credit and 1 w950i looking at me with sad eyes saying "get this o2 s***e off me please!!"

But not enough money to replace if it goes wrong!!

Cant see there being much difference in the process though i mean it took less than 30secs to change the CDA

Go on Nanu. Have a go. I'll personally donate £5 if it bricks your phone. Only need another 39 people and you can easily afford another!

If I had access to a credit right now I would try it. If it goes horribly wrong there is always insurance to turn to.

I don't have a M600 or W950i but I bet there's no problem with doing it... cant see how there would be if you manage to change the CDA.

I think the fact so many people are looking to do this shows how poor the service is for branded handsets.
