I remember a film last year about a man who was living in a house with about 9 other different characters who were in constant conflict with each other and some got killed. Then the twist was, all these people turned out to be his multiple personalities and he was actually a maniac locked up in an institution. Freaky it was! I just can't remember the name. . . Would love to find out what it was.

1.grisly
2.armageddon
3.green mile
these three candies are my favorits in negative context, they are (imho) so stupid, they became my favorits in the end (it's very hard to make THAT stupid movies ).
positive favorits are some cult domestic movies
(the ones you can watch 100x and they are still interesting),
then
1.lock,stock...
2.matrix part 1
3.devil's advocate
4.nightwatch (or 'nochnoi dozor')
5.scary movie

@mad - H m m m . . . just my thoughts here mate. I've watched movies from the Casablanca/Gone With The Wind ones down to the present. After having watched 'almost' all of Bruce Willis' flicks, I can say that this movie - Hostage, was one of the 'crap' he made . . . less action, more on talks etc. Looks like he even did not move a 'finger' doin' this one. Cannot be compared at all to his Die Hard series, not even to that where he co-starred with: Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn: (Death Becomes Her) !
I've seen the flick: TROY (Brad Pitt/Peter O'Toole) numerous times - one of the BEST so far. I hope it'll get the BEST PICTURE nomination in the Oscar's - next year (March 2006)!

@jn :-) i didn't like troy at all. it's on my black list- because it's not according to history data- too much commercialised, and compressed in 90mins, feels like 'strawberries with added sugar'. :-)

@blayv - Your thoughts are respected . . . BUT, everytime movies like this are made, producers/directors etc. makes sure that they are bound buy the history of the movie they are making. Just like in the case of The Passion Of The Christ, we can see some brutal beatings (full of blood) done to Jesus, and as far as history recollects, the re-enactment really TOOK place. I guess this what also transpired with this movie - Troy ! Inspired from Homer's - Iliad! But of course, we have to think also how a face like that of - Helen, can launch a thousand ship/vessels in the movie, specially during the scenes of the battle and the voyage of Troy's troops, it is very obvious that those scenes were computer generated . . . as by the numbers, they just cannot 'easily' produce that many . . .
