I think the most innovative design from SE in a very long time.
And those buttons aren't really that hard to use IMO. I think the buttons don't protrude that much out of the phone, it just looks like it because it has a clear plastic 'panel' across the front.
But still with the joystick

@peterkay
Should appeal to the female market as well Very 'bling'; sorta like shiny diamond keys.
The design is very 'in' at the moment. Glossy surfaces, metal accents, edgy shape and relatively thin. Should prove very successful.

True, this will be a huge success as looks today are a key selling point.
Wouldn't mind having one myself

@k550i: The D-pad == Yes!
The keys .. not so YeS!
Why I say this, I really like the use of the left num-keys when the camera is activated, this is not doable with your design. For me, that alone is a big difference from the K800. The back side is much better too, with no cover parts that can get stuck.
The K810 is a pretty good phone. Having said that, no, I won't buy it b/c I need better video and I prefer touch-screen. |

IMHO there may be a problem with dust and dirt getting into that recess for the camera slider... no such recess on the K800.
Liking the keypad, but I'll have to see one before I ditch my K790a (and wait for an 850 band version).
Also.. I like that silver curve on the K800. =]

Yes the keypad certaintly looks better specially with the clear surround. I think Se are trying not to emulate designs of earlier models and move on to different designs. It would have been cool if they had a chromish clear keypad they had on the k700i on a k800i though but this is totally different and it works |
