did u get used to e61 keypad? i gave it a try and its areally great fone, buti couldnt get used to the qwert keypad. the other disappointing thing is for me the screen, it would have deserved a high res one imo

YEAH, took me all of 2 days to get used to keys. Admittedly, I have fairly small hands, but still,
once you get it, it's great - even one-handed texting is fine. Give it some time and you realize how well balanced the e61 is.The screen is brilliant - whatever the specs! You can watch entire movies on full screen and not end up cross-eyed (converted psp movie to 3gp...hardly a difference)/ or browse the web forever... which gets me to the only minus: nokia's glorified new web browser...
Looks great on paper and when you first try it, but for serious surfing it's too slow to navigate and the layout can be confusing. but there's opera 8.65 and opera mini!! Btw, I DID get nokia's bluetooth keyboard for serious typing on the go. Pretty good. Ended up using it at home too when I have to edit work stuff - saving me the file transfer to pc and then back to phone and back to work, and so on. su-8w... Folds neatly into a cool little box just a bit bigger than the phone. Fits comfortably into any jacket pocket (where you don't need an iPod cause the e61's musicplayer* rocks big time!). So, all goooood (can't, currently, see SE luring me back... Not with e61i on the horizon, i.e. camera on board) *=beware firmware upgrades! New EU regs mean new firmwares on all phones, not just Nokia, WILL limit max volume! btw II) if you want flashier musicplayer alternative, avoid xsound's and Alon's products... Go for lcg-jukebox! Downloads album art and lyrics, has internet radio built in and is way faster and more intuitive! Alon, e.g., takes forever to rescan for new songs or load playlists. But native player is great anyway - and even the jukebox has disadvantages: not as loud and doesn't play aac. [addsig]

i used suw8 ( as i recall its the name ) for 6680 and n70. its a really great acc, but but i didnt get, why isnt there a plug for the fone, it would have been better imo, cos the bt drains the batt faster. of course bt and plug would be the best solution.

Battery standby is great - and that's me, using gprs a LOT (wildest west of Ireland; no proper broadband, patchy 3g etc...), using opera, using e61 as modem etc... Over xmas we were without electricity for a day and a half (stormy...).
E61 our entertainment center for that time. Played loud music for 5 hrs+ , then fell asleep watching/listening to uncut avi-Fifth Element-movie... next day did calls, wrote/sent 5 A4-ish long emails, browsed esato, played the brilliant 3d constructo for an hour and bluetoothed rm songs to my wife's K750... Still had more than a bar which got me over the holidays... (and that was after 3 months of heavy use! by no means a fresh battery).
I usually only charge incar to and from work for 20 mins, and once a week give it a full overnighter.
But yeah, cable for keyboard would be great, as would a usb-in as on e62, I agree! [addsig]

Nokia E61/62 has a wobbly QWERTY KB. The keys though spaced well, are quite loose and doesn't feel good for my lil big fingers. When it comes to QWERTY KB phones, the best I've seen is HTC Herald WindowsMobile PocketPC.

One main gripe I hav bout Nokia smartfons is dat, none has **simultaneous USB sync/charge** support. That's very poor as it'd hav been easy to charge ur fon frm ur PC, or laptop when on road!
Next feature is a **TV out** option. Then must hav feature is puttin in a **3.5mm stereojack**.

Atleast they shud've put in these features into E series fons, as its 4 demanding business men for whom standardization is very important.

By d by Nokia is gonna release E65 soon. It has already got FCC approval.
My fon: Motorola MPX200 (running WindowsMobile 5.0), 512MB RS-MMC, Motorola E398 headset, modified Nokia BL-6C battery!!

Hi all,
Boba the E90 is the long awaited and much anticipated New Communicator, I really have to disagree about the 3.5mm built in jack as the AD-46 gives you this plus a microphone so you can answer and make calls without having to unplug your headphones. Once your call ends your Music restarts and you do not need to stop and unplug and then restart or re plug anything in. As for TV out i already have this and yes it really is good output for Pal &NSTC and also 4:3 or 16:9 output maybe they will add it to other devices soon.

Marc, ur points over d existin Nokia port is quite true. I'd agree.

But what when u wanna connect full sized PC speakers to ur fon. Do u still need your nokia headset adaptor?

I don wanna carry along a Nokia adaptor for connecting a full sized headphone. I'd rather like to c the standard port on the handset itself. Another plus point for this soln is dat many popular 3rd party companies would com out with headsets supporting Nokia fon models, with even better sound quality. Don u guys wanna experience a change from the usual Nokia THING?

@ali,
Sorry but if i am at my PC which has more Music than is on my phone and is attached to my JBL Invader 4.1 speakers why would i want to play Music from my phone and not my PC or even the Nokia Music manager in my PC?

Actually i just tried it, attached the AD-46 to my N93 and then the 3.5mm jack that is usually plugged into my computer from my JBL Invader 4.1 speakers and got great sound although i still do not see why i would want to this but i can already do what you want plus i have a hands free solution for when out and about.

Marc, i just meant u cud plug in a PC SPEAKER any time u want loud sound. Not necessary the speaker com wit a PC.

The sole purpose of havin a standard interface like 3.5mm port is that u can use headsets of any brand u wish to use without any trouble. Even a competing brand's headset would work if its using the standardized port, just because its a universal audio interface.

Atleast Nokia shud hav provided standard interfaces in its business series fons. Alas... Nokia is famous for following n stickin to its own traditions n rules. It'd stay jus like dat until n unless som1 twists its arm!! Jus lik SE did by releasing Walkman fons & Moto wit there thin fons.
