T68 was new kind of phone from SE. It took a lot R&D recources (i.e. money) to make the platform functional. T300 is only a reuse of a T68 platform, so R&D costs where much more smaller than in T68.

I don't wanna argue with you in this case, since it seems that you don't have a single fact. I'll rest my case.

This is what I have been saying all along. If you cared to read my posts, I CLEARLY said that the only reason High end phones cost more, is because the development costs, which needs to be made back with a higher profit on the handset.

In you and your sidekick Super G's last posts, you say MANUFACTURING costs are way different, and that there is no comparing.

Do you know what a profit margin is? A profit margin is something a Phone maker for instance sets, so that it calculates the price of phones in regards to how much money they NEED to make, and how much money the CAN make(without making it too expensive). Then they sell it to distributors, who usually add on about 4% to the price before selling them on to the shops.

You still with me? Then you take two products, T300 and T68, which are the same shit, different wrapping, and look at the prices from reseller. Now, if the phones are basicly the same, then the manufacturing costs will have to be lower than the T300 price to retailers, because if it isnt, then SE is selling the phone with a loss, which they obviously do not.

Therefore, T68 have about the same manufacturing cost, but sells for a lot more. Can you understand this now??? It isn't very difficult. THE T68 MAKES A LOT MORE MONEY FOR SE CAUSE IT HAS HIGHER MARGINS. The reason it has higher margins, is because it needs to make up for the development costs. Which by my guessing, it has done.

That you two are still arguing about the manufacturing bit astounds me. It really does. You have not produced a single valid argument yet, except "you dont know what you are talking about".

High end phones have better margins. End of story.

Nope, that is why I compared two phones which I know are equal. Can you tell me the manufacturing costs? I think you need to go to the Lost&Found to get your logic back mate.

Whatever you say, it's still MMS enabled phone. It has MMS client inside.

Yup, and it removes about 50% of the value of an MMS. Might as well send a picture message, it would be cheaper. I still say the MMS support of this handset is ridicolous. The comparison to GSM network is silly.

I was thinking about that earlier today. They Critizise

for being such a bad company with bad products, but they need to go to a web site made for

phones to talk about Nokia products. Kinda funny.

Your example holds only partly since a) it's comparing phone that do have the same platform b) the platform is old. and c) they belong to low-end and mid-end categories.

Take T300 and P800 as example...
Take V2288 and V70 as example...
Take 3210/3310 and 9110/9210 as example...
Take M50 and SX45 as example...

I would think it was the other way around... Seems to me that there's too many SE employees in this forum and some peeps(like myself) just try to bring a little balance to the discussion...
