quite true, this adheres to the chinese principle 'better sell cheap items as long as many people buys them than sell expensive items and less people buys them' (well, i forgot the exact chinese phrase, but it is similar to what i wrote, hehe...)

Just a notion...the Moli mentioned on the first page has been released since long. Actually there is both Moli and a Moli Touch (and even a third not important version). Cheap and crappy phones |

What the touch slider? When?
Isn't it strange that we will probably never see a Euro version of the SO903i - I simple can't see that appearing over here, it looks too big for Western tastes, although I would love to see that screen on another form factor - possibly a flip.

Thanks I've updated the info accordingly.
I think we'll see that screen soon on an SE. It'll be more logical than having a 352 x 416 screen as that wastes too much power. The widescreen is a good compromise. Also, a guy on MR says that SE will have a very similar specced version of the 903i from SE.
Also, I just thought of it. As SE is upgrading the menu/platform again, maybe it will be designed so that it can interact with the new accessories horizontally. That might explain the new fastport placement.
And the list of semi-known phones is around 24/25 out of the rumoured 40. We're on our way there

Man I do hope a refined K800/790 like phone in a nice slider design (not too slim) debuts with the same or more power efficient yet same spec video chip that the W900 has.
And by God SE research a more responsive gaming-enabled or capable D-Pad. The one on the W810 is good, but not great. Make sure internal housing beneath fully supports it else the phone will creak!

I thought the W550's d-pad was good. But I want a PSP type joystick on an SE phone. Now that would be good for gaming

I guess I have to be even more specific than in my last post:
What I said was that the phones named Moli and Moli Touch have already been released. They are NOT slider but clamshell phones. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out which ones they are.
Nothing said about future phones though...

Anyone think an announcment will be made by xmas to counter people thoughts on the n95.
Surley if they want to combat t en95 that will have to release at least one high end phone with good imaging and video if not HSDPA aswell by the end of q1/start of q2. |

Which three clamshells are you talking about? The Z610 was codenamed Miyu so I don't have a clue.
I'm not going to remove it just yet. The guy who first posted said that it was going to be a Chocolate competitor.

Well we know that there's a phone with a 5 megapixel camera, and will almost definitely have QVGA recording. Just read the first post.
UPDATE:
-QVGA should be at least 15fps; that's the worst case scenario. Has more to do with stability issues.
-The Ai almost definitely seems like the version of the K650. They share similar aethetics, i.e. keypad.
-The Ai's keys are horrible.

Not good news
-The Ai's screen is only 1.8 inches, but wouldn't it be more logical to be 1.9 inches like the other recent phones?
-The Ai will have 3G and HSDPA.
-The K650 is 2.5G not 3G. Seems weird though, seeing as it is meant to be the 6233 competitor... Could be like the K790/K800 though and have two versions. Also, it is meant to be the W650 (Ai)'s brother.
MORE:
-Big news. UIQ on SE phones has reached the end. SE will begin using another platform, probably S60. This spells the death for The P series.
-New SE UI will have active standby.
-K810 to have QVGA recording @ 30fps, but could also be 15fps. Mixed reports have made it unclear.

Everything is one first page. The W880 should have at least a 2 megapixel camera (maybe 3), stereo speakers, and QVGA recording. Don't expect AF for any phones in the near future (next year at least).

There must be a reason for AI to have a screen as small as a W810i. The K800i is 2"+ and that is 3G.
If AI is to have a smaller screen and be 3G at the same time! - well it doesn't make sense unless there is another screen somewhere else.
3G is for watching video downloads - it goes hand in hand with multimedia devices like the K800i. Are they doing this to prove they can put 3G in a device as small as the W810i?
What is the reasoning for such a small screen?
