lets put it on that way, i could imagine it. if other barnds would get here the same support and help, just as se, esato would/could be more succesful and respected ( its one of the most respected already of course ).
what i want ( or desire ) thats just one story, at the end, its up to the community, team esato and laffen...

um, but other brands DO get support, we don't ban other brands.
We do unfortunately have a bunch of sheep who follow each other around immaturely labelling Nokia as Blokia, but we've had threads discussing that too.
In no way is any other brand disadvantaged, disregarded or discouraged here at Esato BUT, by keeping things as they are we keep the main focus and interest on Sony Ericsson products

@masseur could u imagine esato as a general fone forum? pls dont focus on se, i would be interested in your "neutral" opinion, i mean, focus on the way of support, the great community and the huge knowledge...
hope u get how i mean. can u imagine this community and site as a general fone forum?

Providing the same level of attention to every brand would require a huge forum, essentially one would be replicating a large part of Esato for each brand. The question is whether there would be the same level of interest and community spirit for those other brands.
I'm not saying there couldn't be, each brand will have its own fans just as SE does. However, one has to ask how attractive it will be for people to form a community based upon a non-SE brand in the midst of a large SE community? Might they simply look to other forums that already have a non-SE community?
What of the exisiting SE community? How will they feel about non-SE communities forming that essentially alter the whole basis of the site upon which their own community is based?
I'm not saying that such changes can't be successful or that they are necessarily bad, but they might not be as easy as simply adding a new forum and seeing a change for the better.
Adding more members to a forum doesn't necessarily make it successful. Success comes through an active and vibrant user base, whether it be a hundred strong or a hundred thousand strong. Esato already has that.

i agree scotsboyuk... i for one wouldnt wanna see it become that big... another alternative is to make one yourself boba not being mean, but im sure a lot of members here would also visit your site.... I think to lose esato (or develop it into a larger forum [on the scale were talking] would be taking away the thing that people here love (esato)... Theres scope for so much here, where by you could have 'sistering sites' esato (for nokia), esato (for motorola) etc....... thats something to think about.... Main laffen and the esato team.....
But personally im happy as larry with esato as it is
