from the phone? seems a bit unnecessary since Outlook plays a tune when finished with the sync....

R5A is not on the servers anymore... those servicepoints still having R5A has probably not checked the server for newer versions.

@ Cytech
It happened to be your SC that upgraded to R5A, I was there around
14.15 yesterday.
I also asked for a change of the N400 component, but that couldn't be
done in the SC. How long, approx, would it take to change it?
If I came in on monday, and would hand it in for the N400 change and
a upgrade to R5C.

ahhh... I remember that we are not allowed to change N400.... only servicepoints that are HVC are allowed to change them...
why you got R5A instead of R5A was that the computer doing your upgrade unfortunately not had R5C installed...

Where could I find a HVC point in Sthlm? I hope the change of N400
would solve the problems with the bad reception and sos only...
And maybe get the R5C would help a bit too?

Anovo is the only HVC in Sweden... in Sthlm you can find them on Kungsholmstorg 4 (Signalstyrkan) or in Upplands Väsby @ Kanalvägen 18. However, I think it's only Anovo in Kristinehamn that does this kind of work... so if you want N400 changed they might need to send it away, or replace it.

One of the most important changes in R5A/R5C compare to any previous FW is the bug fixing in the bluetooth and the addition of the new bluetooth profile, "Carkit".

I found an anoying bug in my R5C. I have a HCH-28 in my car with the original handsfree HPB-10. When I release the phone the profile goes back to the one I had before (of course) but it also activates the voice-dailing-function (often, but not always). Anybody else?

Lucky me! I'm in London a few weeks ago and happen to catch the R5A update on the day it was released. So I went for it (Carphone Warehouse). Now the phone continually either shuts itself off or just freezes for no reason. I've read a few posts here that suggest there are bugs in it, the version was pulled and now there's a new one R5C? Does anyone know if this fixes the bugs I have? Also, not sure when I'll be getting back to Europe and need to get this fixed here in the States. Any suggestions????

I got confirmation email this morning from a Sony Ericsson Technical Manager stating that GPRS 4+1 support has been implemented as from R5C001.
