I went my Vodafone Live w900i to 2 SE authorised centers to update the phone from R5AG to R5BB and they told me that there is nothing yet for Voda. I know that the latest phones that is sold here in Greece has the R5BB from now on but the problem is that there is no update for the old ones till now. We have to wait SE to make the update for Live w900i. Maybe they are planning a new update for all w900 so they will make it for every version that exists in w900.

BTW for W900i in Greek Language does anyone knows the appropriate EU Firmaware (EU1,2,3,4,5 ????)

They are fooling you. It exists since a few days. I now unploading it to davinciteam.com FTP server. VFE2

If you want unbranded GREEK, use EMEA3

GsMen what are the apropriate files from Davinci to Unbrand my Greek VLIVE w900i in the latest version of firmware Can you discribe a safe way to do it? Does that procedure requires changes to IMEI?

GSMen I would like to ask 2 last questions concerning R5BBEMEA3 for unbranding VFLIVE W900i
1) Does the DVT procedure makes the phone not be updated again from normal SEupdate (maybe the phone will be banned from the simple update of SEUpdate after the unbranding procedure)
2) What about the R5BBEMEA3 and the GSM/3G selection option does it work on the DVT version of firmware?

Thanks for giving all the needed information.

maybe not an exact answer to your question, but here's what i did with my network-unlocked, debitel-branded w550 (since i killed my phone when i used the latest red flashes + client 15.8):

(1) noted the original CDA via >*<<*<* (mine's CDA102415/62)
(2) noted the original localisation (mine's EU2)
(3) flashed via davinci using an older, red, unbranded flash of the same localisation (again, EU2), and entered my original CDA in the text field next to the finalisation tickbox
(4) updated my phone via SEUS [successfully]

result: an unbranded, network-unlocked w550 with the latest firmware (R4CB020) which i can update via SEUS in the next release. None of the operator pre-loaded cr*p in my phone

Thanks for the procedure info I will give another 2 weeks to SE to relese the latest version of the software and if SE fail on their duty then I will go for the solution that you describe here and sure I will go for the 15.3 client just not to spend a lot to make my phone firmware finalised. BTW kabukijepcan I ask some thinks about DVT in PM?

Let's discuss this in the forum so some other people out there with the same problem can read on:

you really just need to pay for the credits (or log as other may call it); i know someone from my area who is a reseller of logs and he only makes me pay for the logs themselves; none of the "registration fees/account fees" cr*p. i suggest you post on their forums and try to look for a reseller who lives around your area. that makes it easier to pay for the logs. otherwise, paypal is your only option. also, prices for logs vary by location, and from reseller to reseller. rough estimate: my reseller (im from PH) sells them for 5.65 euros

a single acct (identified by a username and a password) can have multiple credits in it the same way you dont just put $1 on a single bank acct

for brevity, and for the purpose of this thread, you use a red flash on a red phone, and a brown flash on a brown phone. use the cable test button in the davinci client to check if your phone is brown or red

and yes, use client 15.3 instead

I just downloaded and installed R5BC on my phone using the update service. Is this the latest version? I'ts kind of slow actually and I didn't see the videos (trailers) that they were talking about.

Well the update failed. Just sat there for ages saying it was downloading the firmware files and then after about ten minutes goes back to the start page of SEUS II.

Well apparently it did in fact update - I ran the update again, and very quickly before returning to the start screen a screen flashes up saying that the update is complete. Checked the phone firmware and it is now R5BC004, and I now have the mutli-character search in the phonebook etc. which I didn't have before.
