Sorry, just read the thread...ignore my previous post.
The poster of this thread said the release date is 8th dec, but how comes expansys already have them in stock? are they imported, as I was thinking of ordering from them.
Also, is it possible to buy simfree from voda, as I much prefer the white version?
Though, im pretty sure once the phone is officially released you must be able to buy the white one sim free from someone online, such as expansys??! any views on this? |

Expansys is the worst i had to wait a long time to get my product then when i got it, it was used!!!!!!
when you buy the k750 its supposed to be with the first firmware r1a044
but i was already updated to r1n035
on my second phone it was updated to firmware r1l002
the memory card already had stuff saved on it on the first k750i
and the second k750i it had mp3's on it
i sent it back on October 8 and have yet to get any product back or contact from them.
i bought the hmp-70 from mobilebee.com and get the headphones in 4 days. if i were you i would buy it from them.
this IMO. |

This is quite the problem at several online retailers. I ordered a k750i from myworldphone and it was fine. Then I got another k750 later on, and it arrived opened up and some of the other things were opened in the boxes and it was clear i was shipped someone else's return! |

Let's just hope they keep that crappy Voda branding off and don't screw up.

Spoke to a Vodafone salesman over the phone today and he said that Vodafone's release date for the phone is January 31st. |

it has been confirmed by SE that voda are going to be the only network in the UK taking the phone, and it will be in white.
so for a black one you will have to buy simfree.
"Information provided by Jon Morris @ whatmobile magazine, posted on the whatmobile forums" also known here as "jmcomms"

Have a look at my comparisons of their deals here:

just to point out to people, that if you buy the w900i on any network other than vodafone, i.e through independent sites who just sell simfree versions with a contract, then you will get no support from the networks to do with the phone.
wouldnt bother me, but it may some people.
Also, it was confirmed earlier today, that due to no other networks taking on the w900i apart from voda, and as such no support for it from them, a user loaded up orange world on their w900i and it only displayed text links, none of the image links etc that you would get on a phone which was supported by orange, it seems it may be a similar scenario with O2active portal etc too

Not too bothered about this, as when the s700 first came out, t-mob did not support yet i still bought it. So I am used to this:)
Plus not bothered about voda getting it cos am getting it sim free anyway,
only thing is, will it be possible to buy the white one simfree???!! |

Can anyone confirm a source that this phone will only be released on Vodafone and no other UK network?
EDIT: The release of the w900i is still showing as Dec05 on the Voda website!

Hi Guys. I brought the W900i from a online retailer on a O2 CONTRACT and have been informed by them that is being delivered to my home today (01/12/05)! http://www.buymobilephones.net. It cost 39.99 on a 12 month O2 Contract. I need to ask a favour. I am new to putting videos on a phone. Can anyone lead me to step-by-step direction of converting?

jon morris who is an editor(i believe) for what mobile magazine in the UK has confirmed that it will only officially be released by voda on contract.
As i said before and the poster above confirms, you can get it from independent retailers on other networks, but you will have no support from the network for the phone, and the networks wap portals may not be fully compatible with the phone, as is the case with orangeworld.
