The JJ has very little user memory, the browser is slow, the battery life is poor and its very expensive. Also if someone calls you then you need to open the camshell lid to see who the caller as there is no external display like on the Nokia 9x00. And finally, it is very big and heavy.

@Indian,
having used Palm devices (LifeDrive, Treo) and Symbian (P910, N 9500, etc) and read reviews I am shocked how feature poor pocket/mobile Word and Excel are compared to third-party apps. Docs to Go for UIQ is probably as good as Office suite in WM5 and better than previous versions of PPC. Opera on the N9500 is much better than IE on the PPC/WM5 (according to user feedback I have seen elsewhere). And finally, the rumoured 1GB memory of the P950 does make the JJ look very old technology!

@MominIslam
There were rumours that the real successor to the P910 would be a communicator style device. Also as UIQ3 supports keyboard and touch screen input there were rumours that SE would release a number of devices. Can you shed any light on these rumours? |

Hermione is a SonyEricsson prototype.
That's all we need to know right now.
They have 3 (UIQ 3) smartphones in development, so this is probably one of them.
And stop saying "this is not the P910 sucessor" BECAUSE there are at least 3 sucessors, NOT JUST ONE. OK?
The communicator device (Motorola MPx style) that is supposed to be the TOP smartphone from SE IMHO is probably one year away.
BTW, this is how MPx looks like:

I'm not sure about the next P series..........
One thing for sure is........... The photos look questionable........
I'm not saying it's a fake. But there is a possibility.

REO,
These "questionable" fotos show the same phone of the leaked powerpoint press release of Orange!
A few weeks later, SonyEricsson hunted down the web sites that posted the first spy photos of Hermione, including Esato itself!
Sorry man, if these facts can't convince you...

Assuming for a moment that this is the actual phone, I spot one major ergonomic problem with it. And that is the flip appears to block use of some of the keys on the querty keypad. I know that when I'm writting on my p910i, I use the keypad form the bottom, wheras on this the flip appears to block off the bottom section of the phone. Anyone else noticed that? |
