No offense but PC configuration has nothing to do with anything.
The key is getting O2 uk to get theire fingers out of theire backside and work a little faster to get the update accepted for the users out here that have no joy getting this update.
Politics, I hate politics even internal nonsense like that get us the user the one that pays for these creeps to provide a working product that we deserve and they will only listen when there are enough complaints to them about the faults...
I have complaint to O2 and SE about my faults on the K50i R1L002.
SE advises to update O2 say nothing.....
Cant update and O2 are a bit lame....
Return the phones I will... The force is strong....

Guys, you will not believe. i've just successfully updated the f/w to R1N035. i did nothing special. i just gave it a try today and it worked.
This is what the software info says :

what site did you use?
DId you do it using your half-updated phone or with a re-flashed r1L? |

What have you update, a k750 or a w800 ?
What's your country ?
Have you seen some bugs like crashing when playing 3GP and sending files by blootooth, can you still install java games ?
Can you play all your MP3 files ?
Haven't you pb playing video ?

Using my k750 for 3 hours after flashing to r1n. Still no crashes. Mp3 and video working fine. Cam improved. Also jpeg compression has reduced resulting in better quality pics.

I just wanted to say thanks to dyndragon for his helpful post. I followed the instructions and they worked pefectly. It cost me £7 but at least I can stop stressing about having a half-broken phone!

@rob you could have tried one last time thru SEUS. Mine got successful after many failed attempts.

I want to update my precious to R1N but Im confused from all the posts.Here goes.I have a k750i from vodafone and when I do the <>* thingy I get:

Now, how do I update this baby? To what country do I go when I go to the sony ericsson site??? And where did you people get those "You already got the latest software messages" that SEUS's stupid updater program tells me nothing.Please help

@rookie, yours is voda specific f/w. Imo, SEUS only updates generic f/w's.

I tried 3 last times with SEUpdate tonight - no improvement - using automatic and recovery modes. They haven't even replied to my email that I sent more than 24hrs ago... |

But my phone came with the R1C004 F/w how did I manage to update it with SEUS to R1L002 then?!
And how do I unbrand it except with davinci ?!

I visited my local SE service center today to fix my phone but they only had R1L, but at least now it works. They said I was the 11th person today that had had the R1N update problem. So surley this is a widespread problem and I will wait to try to update until they have sorted out the problem. I have also been waiting two days to hear from SE but hopefully they are working on the issue. |
