Well, at least Ernie managed to maintain his personal record of securing one major title each year from 1991 onwards by winning the South African Open. Mind you, one of the caddies whom i bumped into at the mall reckoned that it was a close call, although he won by three strokes.

Just got back to the office and can't believe South Africa lost against the Indians...but I see a fightback. I doubt the Indians have it in them to win a series...the Wanderers was a fluke.

@786KBR: Yes, i said it...that was a fluke. I mean, how many years did it take for them to win a test match in South Africa? While we've won several test matches, and a series, on their low and slow wickets...History is on our side.

The history died with hansie im afraid.

I dont think you can call that win a fluke, besides SA is ranked 6th in the ICC test rankings.

India sucked in the ODIs, although If I was Mr Smith, I wouldnt underestimate them should we meet in 07 WC.

Mr.Smith needs some basic lessons in captaincy, according to what Kepler said in a radio interview this afternoon... And he hinted that it seems as if they're slowly starting to edge Herschelle out of the side...

That'll be yet another Christmas card that Smith will not be sending out...
EDIT: And so we march on into the 600th page of our thread.

@da wanqsta: You keep everything relative mate.

@786KBR: I can't believe you bro...Indians are seriously a crap team...they got lucky and perhaps the Wanderers wicket is the only one that will support their seam bowling- they should chant to Lord Vishnu that Sreesanth does not get crocked.

Durban will be much livelier and the ball will not swing around as much, just a lot of bounce...I see some Indian batsment getting a big hurt.

@da krypsta: Keppler Wessels lost my respect when he sent his son to England hoping that he would eventually qualify for a Kolpak...he even had his friends in the media writing brilliant features on the boy and how he wanted to qualify for England. How does one explain that the son of a former captain is aiming to qualify for England on a Kolpak...Keppler is clearly bitter at the cricket establishment for Lord knows what. Ok, he was unhappy with the speed of transformation but he can't come up with a viable solution that will keep commercial and government interests happy.

Guys sorry for that rant, this is turning into a cricket forum.

Back on topic, I see Vodacom have also introduced the Samsung P910 and are charging R59/month for something like 12 channels.

Speaking of the Samsung P910, check out the 19/10/06 post in the 'opinions' on gsmarena regarding this handset...! I wonder how many SA people visit/check out the thread without ever coming 'on board'? :

Ahhh come now Mr Brix, their test team crap???

DO a little research on the players like Laxman, Ganguly, Sehwag, Kumble...

They already legends getting into form for the tests, their one day team sucked!!! But I still see them as a very strong team.

Whats your views on the Pakis when they arrive here?
