@Boba:
the reason is probably due to incompatible firmware parts. What I have flashed is only the mainflash part. I left the T39 GDFS area as it is. The GDFS includes radio calibration and other important data. Probably the T36 firmware is unable to communicate with the T39 GDFS. On the other hand I don't want to override my GDFS data and so my trial will end at this point.

The complete collection contains 94 /// phones by now. Soon I will reach the 100.

I think the T60 was only sold in silver grey, except a few limited Editions like this Spiderman phone. Like for A2618/A2628 there were other faceplates made by Ericsson available. I have seen 3 of them so far: Orange, blue and dark red. Maybe there are others.
The cover is made by Ericsson but it doesn't come in a /// blister box like we know it here in europe. I bought two in orange and two in red: Their boxes are labeled by Ericsson and Cingular, the network provider.
I saw the first T60 in orange maybe 2 years ago on ebay USA but the seller didn't want to ship oversea. Since then I fell in love with this color and searched for new covers everywhere. Now it happend that my cousin was in the States for one year and so I could buy parts and let them ship to his address. I also bought more than these two T60 to have a good coice. The other two will soon be for sale.

What's the problem with the long antenna? I think it looks cool. |

indeed, those arerials are a kind of "TM" for /// imo. especially 195 ones are really cool even now a days. would have been interesting to see t68m with a kind of mini t28 aerial, however the sharkfin looks nice too

Maybe the T39 with the T36 FW has no receiption due to the fact that the Board must be slightly different due to GPRS?

I don't think so. I think if the gdfs area of the t36 would be flashed into the t39, it would work as well. |

@hanky: No, it does not. If you overwrite the GDFS, you will damage the security zone. Rebuilding it leads to a dead IMEI. In the first case the phone doesn't turn on at all, in the second case you have 4 locks closed.
By the way: Today I've got two new rarities and reached the magic number of 100 phones in my collection. This is number 100, a pink Limited Edition in perfect condition:
The next one is not less interesting. When I bought it I wasn't sure if the face plate is original. When it arrived I had to realize that it is definately an Ericsson part. Its spare part number is SXA 214 3104. I really wonder why Ericsson did not release this "color":

GPRS is just a firmware thing and is not dependent on the hardware. Theoretical you could put GPRS in any phone |
