Look at the speed of timescape - it looks like they are really working hard to make it smooth

Yea, Timescape looks very smooth and nice. Mediascape is smooth too, but there's more work to be done on it. Maybe SE has to decrease the inertia's movement in the Timescape.
Edit - another thing I saw is that SE has changed the colour of the menu's highlight:

The speed is about the same at this point, but mind you that both are still proto's.
The interface from X10 is much, much better, though. I totally love how timescape gives you a view of all your mails, texts, facebook updates, tweets, calls, taken photo's, played music and played vids in one Works pretty smooth too Only the infinity function in Mediascape is a bit slow still, but I expect that to be fixed in february when it goes on sale
Acer neoTouch and HTC HD2 are both faster at this point, but they where both retail units and the X10 was only a proto, so that could verry well change

What I liked the most, is that they will be offering updates constantly through a period of 2 years that add nice new functionalities

Why didn't they announce this earlier, instead of just implying that it might be upgradeable to 2.0 in the Q&A.
