Hey Gucci,

You got the normal N81 or the N81 (8 gig)? You seem to have quite a bit of ram while I have only 8 gigs free.

@Gucci,

After I boot up: I go to Menu, then Options, then to Memory, I select Phone and it shows me that I have 7128 free with 18 megs in use.

Thats Internal Memory not ram. To check ram you need Handy Taskman.

Yo Gucci,

Got it now.

Ram: 39.6 M / 77.4 M
Phone Mem: 6.9 M 24.7 M
Mem Card: 1.4 G / 1.9 G

Other than the memory card, do these numbers sound about right to you?

Hey dude.

Take a quick look at the N81 specs and then compared it to the iPhone. The iPhone is very anemic when it comes to phoning features.

u cant compare those 2 fones imo. iphone is a "thing" with call feature, n81 is the result of years long experinence, tradition etc.

@boba

Excellent point my friend. The iPhone should be called: "iPod with Phone". It is more iPod than phone.

@Gucci

I have the latest I think: V 11.0.045. Is this what you have?

Standby could be better. I have started turning off Music Player so this will not be running in the background. By the way, I posted about not using TruPhone. It likes to run in the background, thus taking up CPU cycles, and in turn battery life. Also TruPhone is sneaky in that it changes the default call setting from cellular to Internet and this uses their application.
