You can't just rely on Sony's superior design, face the reality: Sony is far from perfect! I'm not a Samsung fab-boy, I don't even have one of their phones.
Over the top is an understatement  but it's made for a hilarious read  .
You know, when Nokia began falling, big of a fan as I was, I was always able to criticise them rather than blame other phone makers and reviewers.
When the 1st Galaxy S landed it was highly criticised for copying the iPhone, many reviewers ripped it apart in the media, I can never forget how the Galaxy S and Android in general were bashed by Gizmodo's and Engadget's chief editors on Bloomberg, yet in the end the Galaxy S managed to break through all that and still be a success.
Blaming the media (reviewers, bribed supporters etc...) is such an easy and lazy cop out, it really is, but I guess its easier to make excuses and place the blame on the success of others, it's what many do when they don't like the success of others I guess.

Ah get why you don't quite see eye to eye with most people in this thread. You stand for that which we are appalled with. So a 'successful' product is a rip-off and there's nothing wrong with that? No-one here fails to criticise Sony where criticism is due. The problem is, you Samsung trolls take Samsung to be infallible, and turn a blind eye. It shows. And it's only since the release of the Z has your feelings changed to spite. The first page of the t thread shows you weren't that crazy back then.
On topic.
I'd guess the chances of a non-mainstream form-factor are pretty low, especially since there's been no play or tablet p successor... |

I have a Q, I want to import the Xperia UL, as I understand au's phones are all unlocked, and it has gsm.
does 3G/4G works as well?
Currently NExus 4, but want Xperia ZR. |

I think once all screen sizes of phone / phablet have been covered, we could see new form factors. A slider would be my best bet.

Looks like Samsung has some work to do to catch up with Qualcomm chipsets
This is excellent news - now all that remains to be seen is the relative performance of SD800 and whether Samsung double down on Octa with the Note 3.
Whatever, this means that Sony phones will be easily competitive with the octa S4. |

A true example of what I said in my previous post and just because I disagree with what you and other fans think, I'm a troll it's no wonder why so many great debaters, industry enthusiasts and unapologetic posters who criticised SE/Sony left this place.

What about the Jolla idea but instead, you have a generic front display and main body but a back plate with a choice of hardware i.e. extended battery, keyboard, extra zoom lens, joypad etc. I like the concept of choice but if you're not that ambitious then have different content and software themes like music or work. If that is too far ahead then something simple like the Microsoft Surface keyboard that easily clips on and will change the theme depending on the colour, any type of enhancement. |
