@jojo:
No fake. The R380 has been produced until the end of Ericsson and all those phones were labeled as SE after the joint venture. You can find SE stickers on all later models like T39, T68m, R380, T66 and T65. These are at least SE labeled phones that I have seen in the past.
The reason is quite simple: After the joint venture SE needed some time to develop and release new models so they had to go on producing old models for a while. Since it was already SE who was producing these phones they had to get correctly labeled as SE phones.

As far as I remember, there were even Leaflets for T39 in three different Versions. Version 1 and 2 were both Ericsson Labelled and shows a couple on the Harbour Bridge in New York. In Version 1 you can see WTC. Shortly after 911, /// released a new Leaflet with the Same Pictures and also labelled as ///. But the Pictures were not the Same Size and you couldnīt see the WTC anymore. Guess why.
The last Version was completely new and in SE Style.
Cheers

@rose - OK, thanks for the INFO ! All along I really thought that it was the T68m that's been produced FIRST after the merge . .

I've got a T39m labeled "Ericsson T39m", while sticker on the box is "Sony Ericsson T39m", but it has an old manual with WTC on it. So is it a SE or a real \\\\\\?

Where is the difference? It was made by the same people at the same places with the same machines. To me it is an Ericsson mobile, doesn't matter what has been printed on the label.

Hi guys! I've got a problem with my R600s and it's driving me up the wall. its original battery died earlier this year and I bought 2 new non original ones that show 'charging battery' for a few seconds thereafter the screen flashes the same info without really charging the battery. rOsewhite, bobba any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

doesn't it charge the batteries at all? What happens if you leave the phone connected to the charger for some hours? Don't care about what the display says.
Since you have bought 3rd party batteries the display will probably indicate the charging process in only 3 steps instead of 5 or 6: The battery symbol goes empty -> half -> full and repeating. This means that the phone is not able to "read" the battery and therefor doesn't know how to charge it correctly.
If the phone doesn't charge your batteries at all, disregarding of what the display shows, your voltage controller will probably defective. This is a job for a professional who's got a hotair soldering station and the right spare part.

@rOsewhite
Thanks for your response.
When I leave the phone on the charger-which I have done twice already- the phones keeps flashing after about every 10 seconds or so without charging.
The strange thing is I opened the phone yesterday to see if there were any damages inside, then decided to clean it. After closing it I put it on the charger again and it actually charged the battery even though it started charging it midway,ie, as if the phone had been on the charger for half an hour. It took less than 3 minutes to be fully charged.
I actually used it to see how long it would go and made one call. It depleted just as quickly, not that I was surprised, anyway when I put it back on the charger it did the same thing it's been doing- flashing 'charging battery' without charging it.

What you can do is trying to get a Ericsson battery and find out if it's charging. Maybe the phone is just not able to handle this battery right.
If this doesn't help, your phone has got a hardware defect. Since the R600 is more a cheap phone I don't think it makes sense to find someone to repair it. The repair would cost at least 35 Euro (exchanging the voltage controller with a hotair gun) and for the same price you could get a working R600 on eBay.
