nah!!! its not a situation where they are diggin their graves....wat i think is that they basically got onto the bandwagon early and their timing was next to perfect and they capitalised the situation to the max...good for them...the rest of the folks, namely moto, etc caught on only much later......but trends do change and we're at a time now aptly called reversal of fortunes....nok will hafta fight really hard to maintain their position.....which is gradually being eroded like it or not....its just a matter of time where somebody else succeeds them.......only time will tell.....i actually do see many folks using models other than nok.....compare that to 2 or 3 years ago.....remember the usual mamak situation where the phone rings and 90% of yr buddies will reach into the pocket to see if its their phone.....

You're right there. I have friends that are not brave enough to try other phones. They'll probably use nokias till they day they die or something. Nokia is going down fast, and their new models are embarassing. There's nothing there that would make me want to buy any of their phones. Only their 3g phone looks decent, but the shape is just wrong, WRONG!!!!

I have no idea who their designers are. Designs are crap, features are so limited, and thankfully,, people are beginning to open their eyes. They know that there is a world other than just Nokias.

Anyway, I'm done. See you guys tomorrow. All I want is my mpx'es. HAHA

The c500 looks good too, but the design isn't for me. Too small and too ugly

I'd admit that the MPx series is cool, but IMO the rest of Moto phones are just not to my liking...

And NOkia 3G phones are crappy looking and also kinda cacat... How would a 3G phone function without dual / rotating cams?

U can trust NOkia to come up with that kind of shit. Its so that they can come out with an "i" version or some 7653978509270650 version la ... They will just add dual cams and call it a new model. U see, they takut they dont have enuf features for a future 3G model, so must simpan the best for last la... If they use dual cams now, what are they gonna put in future 3G models ? They are shite and dont have anymore features that they can think off ...

I agree about the motorola series phones not being that great. Those cheap end motos really suck.I haven't been a fan of motorola for that long, only for their mpx series phones. They are coming out with pretty good phones atm, even their non smartphone series, like the v600. But motorola excels at their high end stuff. Their low end stuff aren't that great, you have nokia for that. Everyone that uses low end stuff are using nokia crap.

I wouldn't say SE are running low end, most of their devices are in between. And I don't like seeing too many people using SE. But if they don't, SE don't get anyway. A few months back, I almost bought a p900, always wanted one a powerful device (I'm a phone first kind of guy). But RM3000+ is quite a lot, and you gotta think properly. Then I discovered smartphones and have been using them regularly.

The mpx200 is a very good phone, although lacking an inbuilt camera or bluetooth. But it's very popular and almost a good buy (it's now RM1670). The mpx220 is a direct replacement, they're adding in a 1.2/1.3 megapixel camera with flash, and bluetooth. A ton of other features too, go check out the specifications.

But like I said, SE phones are good. I always liked SE, in fact. I would like to use the T630 but I hate changing sims from one phone to another too often. So just wait for the mpx'es to come out. I don't like the shape of the k700, and I definitely don't like the S700 shape. But if you compare these phones to smartphones, you'll realise that they lack a ton of things. And changing from being a smartphone user to a normal phone user again isn't cool. You'll feel lost. lol

Anyone here have the k700 yet? What's the going price atm? I think it's a little too expensive.

True ... that's true .... just add a little more $$$ to the price of the S700 and K700 and we can get a smartphone right ? I have doubts about using a Microsoft OS powered thingy tho ... And how is MoTo's implementation like? My cousin's Linux powered Moto smartphone cant send stuff via BT if it aint paired (or bonded as moto calls it) with the recieving device !

Well, you'll have to realise that moto is working on their bluetooth implementation, they're supposed to have their own bluetooth manager controller or something with the models. But you can't really say. I suppose that with their new line, they'd want to make improvements and make sure it's working decently. When the phones finally come out, go check em out.

Smartphone users wouldn't stand for crappy bluetooth implementation with any device they buy.,
