He's certainly done himself no favours; that Graeme Smith comment in one of your recent posts comes to mind.
Andrew Strauss was born in SA, first picked up a cricket bat in Oz as a lighty growing up there, before his family settled in the UK.
Andrew Symonds was born in Birmingham UK, before his family moved to Oz. How many remarks does one here about their upbringings?
People could argue with these that this was their families' decisions, not theirs as in the case of KP, but there's no documented lambasting of their former homeland's flaws and policies, whether unfounded or not, as KP does so emphatically in public...your last comment is particularly pertinent in this regard.
And about you being a bad brix today; perhaps some things are best left unsaid, but I really, really do endeavour to reserve passing any form of hard n' fast judgement/s on people if I don't even know a fraction of the facts and/or reasons...we all have our idiosyncrasies; KP included.

What a brilliant evening! Just got home from a Starfish Charity Organization dinner hosted by Cadbury. There was a music quiz as well as a kareoke which raised quite a few extra thousands for this very worthy organization.
@Deluded, i'm happy to hear that your exams are over, boet. Enjoy the Gallery, and do keep us posted on your findings at the Tech Mall.
@Brix, "judge not lest ye be judged". A simple philosophy which has stood me in good stead. We all have such days, boet... to err is human. Heaven knows, if my errors were to be reckoned against my name i'd be in some serious trouble...

brix, you say that way too often...lol! hope if it was bad with the better looking gender that you wore a "mussie"! But then again, you might have clubbed a baby seal to death, kicked a bunny wabbit or sneered at a cop...Dude, as long as you kept safe or got away with whatever you did, it's all good. Let your conscience be your measuring line of what you did right or wrong. And a stupid saying saying I once heard on the most stupid of all shows...."In life, before you start helping others, first learn to be harmless..." I always think of that when I screw up, as long as I don't hurt anyone things are cool. I will have to deal with myself. (I am trying to be really neutral here in my comment: just now you flew off to another galaxy and destroyed an entire civilization like in the Dark Phoenix Saga in X-men...then being neutral about it is good...Rather than be destroyed!lol!)

How can you guys tell i am bored?! I am typing an absolute load of crap again...
....watched a bit of 3Talk today, and boy was it scary....watching tv on a friday night...you don't get worse...lol! They were talking about living with HIV...They had a phone call from a lady who's sister has HIV, and has had 2 abortions the last 6 months, and she does not tell the guys she is HIV positive. The lady finished saying that if you meet a pretty girl in the Joburg area, watch out...Guys, the people in our country are not educated enough. It is bad. I still think the abstinence thing is the best way....use your hand, it does a good job, and if at all necessary, get a wife! lol! Okay, it is not that easy, but yeah...
Guys, you have any idea how slow Dial-up internet is? My word, it is bad! I am so used to ADSL at work or 3G on my phone...May dial up die a slow and painful death....

When I see what rare comic books go for on places like eBay et al, I can truly kick myself for getting rid of the many comics that I had as a lighty growing up.
I had much of the X-Men comics, including the first appearance of Jean Grey's alter ego ie. Phoenix, right through to when they visited Banshee's retreat, only to have The Juggernaut and Black Tom waiting for them...
Iron Man, X-Men, Daredevil, The Avengers, Spider Man, Iron Fist, Thor, Ghost Rider (my fave), etc. etc. were all in cherished, neat piles on my bookshelves back in the late 70's and early 80's.
Speaking of Ghost Rider, Nicholas Cage has taken the part for the (Sony) movie release, which will be out in Feb '07. Can't wait...
Desperate Housewives' Eva Mendes co-stars. Here's the official site:

Howzit Guys,l just came back from a work Xmas lunch.The lunch was good considering we had a buffet(don't kwow if spelled coroectly)and I ate & drink well(cider offcoures,Smirnoff Twist).The only thing that spoilt the whole outing for me was the presents the company bought us employees and I'm too ashamed to tell you what that was.I know that a present is offcourse a present,but C'mon THAT!!!I'm so so pissed off.You can't really give that to someone for being loyal and making money for you.What in the hell were they thinking.I'm not even gonna use it.DAMN those guys!!!excuse my lingo!

LOL, I've had my fair share of obscure pressies at staff Christmas parties over the past years too.
You could always re-wrap it and give it to someone else...save a bit on some Christmas shopping for 'distant' family; or even your boss...  LOL.

@Wanqa,maybe I should do just that Broer,re-wrap it and give it to my boss as his Xmas present.Maybe next year he'll come up with something better.
It's not that I really want a present on Xmas lunch,but if you don't have something descent to give,rather not take the trouble to give out anything,except for the well deserved bonuses.Crapyy present,PLEASE!
Just picture this,You work hard all year round to make the folks rich and in the end they say,Hey here's your present for being a loyal employee.With excitement you open it to find it's deodorant,and one of the cheapest around,even school kids don't use it.That is an absolute INSULT!!!

Maybe we should read deeper into it. Maybe he is trying to tell everyone subtly that they stink...in more ways than one. I vote you return the favour...lol!
Anyway, i am sitting outside with a big setup tonight. Got a mixer out, with ear-phones, my bass guitar, and my trusty w900i, and i am using a little application called vibe to build and play cheezy drum tracks. It works incredibly well! Came up with a cool tune, and it will rock when done:) then there is always practicing our bands tracks as well. Being white it is hard to be tight, and i only ever play with the band. I use some of our recordings, either remove the bass or pan it, and jam along. The possibilities are endless...
@ wanqa, i got a friends age of apocalypse xmen comics lying around here. Have to return it, but wow, those were good! Planning to download the entire pdf versions of it when the bandwidth becomes available, as his collection only includes the ones that was available in sa, which was like half the story.

Oh yeah, i also got a hold of Evangelions final two episodes this week on dvd. Just eventually finished watching it. 24 episodes i watched a year ago, and could eventually watch the end of it. It is brilliant, but it is heavily screwed up. I think stuff like that can screw with peoples heads. The guy who is behind it all had hectic depression when he made it, or it was the result of the depression. It ultimately makes for really heavy viewing. The spirit behind a show can be good or bad. It comes down to what we create and in what spirit, and will the result be good or bad. Watch what you watch.
I had a saying the other day when my friend and boss said something slightly negative about a fellow employee: do not judge him by your opinion of him, judge him by his actions. I think we judge people by our opinions too easily. Wait for the story to play out, and afterwards adjust your opinion of the person. There is too much that comes into play to simply judge and keep with that initial judgement.
