It looks like the E2333 will be the replacement for the M2, moving onto the M4. I hope they don't have 2 variants like the 2014 model (M2 & M2 Aqua) I hope there is just an aqua version as there is no other phone that is waterproof in the mid range sector and would provide a USP that is unique to the Xperia range.

What would you expect them to tell you via twitter? Those people are not in the position to talk about anything Sony internal related (not knowing or not allowed to tell). They can only reply what they where told to. If the upper management is talking officially about "an alliance" due unsatisfied profits of its mobile devision, then you can be sure that won't take Sony too long to say good by to Xperia. I mean they already did it with Vaio which at that time nobody believed would be true, but it happened.

They should really try out the Premium only production. Be the APPLE of android. Have a great premium line up and for gods sake market them PROPERLY! SAMSUNG users in India still think Z is the latest XPERIA coz that's the last time SONY India ever marketed a phone here 
BTW Z Ultra is selling better these days at the current price point  I think SONY should make the previous gen phones the mid-end ones. Z3 is the flagship so Z2 should be sold at a mid-end cost. Same when Z4 is out.

Since Z2 and Z3 are very alike. Noone would buy Z3. That is the mistake sony made with 6 month cycle. They cant lower the previous generation's price cause Noone would buy the latest. Kind of ironic actually. They can do that next year wüth Z4 and Z5. Z ultra was released very early. Now people want 6 inch and plus phones. I believe now is the time to release Z4 Ultra because note 5 is going to be 6 inches if the rumors are correct. |

I don't see how jv with other company will help sony sell more as the z line are the best sony devices ever, overall better then any sony ericsson phone imo and sony problems are lack of marketing, availability and non competitive low and mid range devices. why don't they improve these? they don't want to take risks? even when i had w800i in 2005 i though sony brand alone would be better. ericsson part seemed unnecessary.

If z4 june release rumors are true then it should be the only main flag in 2015 to changed things like you wrote in a time when they don't sell as much as they hoped. it also should mean the next compact and most likely the next ultra will be announced in september ifa, but with sony everything is possible and doesn't always make sense these days...
let's see how e4, m4 and possibly other mid range (new t?) sell in 2015. they should have a competitive price tag to have a chance.

SE was successful when companies could take their time refine the phone before getting it out to market. this is not the case during current smartphone era where you need to get the latest hardware out the door in just a few months
