NICE POST !!!! Im agree with u , SE maybe not the best on selling, but for me SE the best to give good phone, much more than Nokias in all aspects.
i buy SE only because of its battery life and design..no other reason to be honest ! |

It may not be worth getting the X1. Perhaps its worth waiting for WM7. Look at it:

Looks to be the best OS EVER! Unless you can upgrade to it from WM6, its probably worth waiting for (bear in mind itll be H2 2008 by the time X1 is released anyway, so for a few months wait you can see what this is and perhaps make a MUCH better buy in the long run with the X2 on WM7

SE has been behind for so long and at least, they have almost caught up or are at par with the rest at the time being.
By getting someone else (HTC) to do its dirty work? I doubt SE caught up much. At the end of the day X1 is HTC technology. And we WILL see the same piece of hardware that is the X1 being released by HTC at around the same time X1 comes on the market.
They are on the verge of revolutionizing touchscreen by incorporating it to the midrange candybars and who knows, at entry level one day.
I think "revolutionizing" is a bit of a overstatement. There are already many TS around like the Viewty and various Samsung CROIX based phones. And not to mention the Touch and iphone. All SE did was repackage the user unfriendly UIQ3 implemented in P1 into G-series together with all its goodies (like outdated hardware ).
And we know S60 Touch is coming very soon. And given Nokia smartphone volume, it will move much more TS than SE (maybe in the order of 10 to 1). |

I wouldn't want it with Windows Mobile 7 honestly. WM7 uses much more power than W6 - it's obvious: the sensors of the phone will always be on in order to understand shake gestures. Sony Ericsson phones as of currently require some user activation to turn on the sensors. For instance, when fast fowarding songs on the Walkman, one must press and hold the Walkman button before shaking.
