Never is at first, if you have a laptop ideally a mac that has calibration software built in then plug it into your tv via hdmi and adjust it from there. I am sure windows machines do as well but I noticed Samsung displays play well with mac's if memory serves me right the screens used in mac's are made my samsung.

Right. Just had a bit of a thought. You know how 360's can share a connection with your desktop PC.
Is it possible to use a laptop, connect it to a wireless network and let the 360 share that connection via the ethernet port on the laptop. I sometimes take my 360 downstairs to play it on the 42" living room tv but I can't connect to XBOX Live there because my 360 is normally wired to the router in my room and I don't have a wireless adapter for it. So if anyones tried it, let me know please.

Should be possible but if you plan on playing on Live your latency speed might be terrible so you might want to test out your ping times etc. But yeah its possible you in theory just making your laptop a router.

Lovely! Ping speed is normally fast, coming in at under 30ms.

If you have any Disney dvds they often have THX picture optimizers that calibrate your tv perfectly with different tests for each setting, brightness, contrast and so on. Just look in extras i used it on my sony bravia and it looks alot better! |

No you dont.....
I'm on live via sharing my laptops wireless net connection and am just using the supplied ethernet cable that comes with the premium pack plugged into the ethernet port at the back.....
Dont have any lag/connection issues either.
Setting it up on windows was a doddle for me too.... Just ticked the right box...
