Have you considered trying http://help.com? If you haven't, or if your needs are more modest, do try http://modestneeds.org Some interesting information at those sites.....

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

@brix & @Kryptik
I'm pretty used to SE's, my bro got the V800 when it first came out and i played with his phone for a while, then I got my dad to get the K750i and i still play with his phone a lot. I've had a bit of experience on the whole smartphone thing, I had to do some stuff on a P910 for a friend once and i stayed up the whole night playing with it, that's where it all started...

Sweet, cool to meet an ex slummies resident here.
It is in Beacon Bay but they've recently built new offices next to Retail park.
What did you teach? By the fact that you remembered her details so well, I take it she must have been hot;).
I did my grade 9-10 through Damelin home schooling and my grade 11-12 at Damelin college.
And I totally agree with you on the stepping stone thing, I work with technology every day, you just gotta dive in there, nothing is that complicated.

@786KBR
Have you tried the generic version? apparently it works on the M600 so maybe it'll work on the P990.

@Kryptik
Don't suppose there's a site that provides monetary help? I need some of that.

I am mildly beginning to worry about siosal. His post was weird, almost desperate, and he has not replied yet has he?

Sorry, me just over-analyzing his post...i give things time, and if it is not sorted in the allocated time, i worry...

I need to get in shape. It is getting bad. I weigh ninety odd, which is perfect for my size, except that my flab should be fat. My big concerns with this is that eating right is such an important part, and it is nearly impossible in my environment to do so. I see this as a challenge. I need to get some form of discipline in my life. It is getting better, as i have been going to bed at good times compared to a month ago. Next step, quit the rum and maple, and get with the program(he he! I sound like oprah:)

@ Kitsune,
I'm primary school trained, thus teach virtually all the subjects.
About the chick, I remember lots of 'useless' information, but the chick's dad was on the one grade 7 farewell committee with me back then and we got along well, plus the committee had a party at their place a few weeks after the event...
BTW, the chick was incidently quite a hottie, but had no big bearing on me remembering all that old info.
The better half often mentions how I can absorb so much information, but I then sometimes forget 1 or 2 basic things that she asked me to get while grocery shopping...
I try keep in touch with EL news by visiting the Daily Dispatch's website on most days too.

@ Francois,
Yeah, me too. I wasn't sure at first if Siosal's post was leading to some dry humour in a forthcoming post, or a sincere statement.
@ Siosal, hope you're all OK boet; you know that we'll do what we can to help.

EDIT: @ da brixsta,
What the hell's going on with The Gunners?! I can hardly believe that they lost to The Cottagers tonight.

I'm chalking Sio's post up to dry humour, but yeah, it does make one worry a bit... Holler if you need help, mate.

Francois, i hear you, boet... My GP's been nagging me to start losing some weight, and i agree with him. It's been a bietjie tough with the pegleg, can't walk as much as i'd like to, but fortunately it's summer so lots of swimming should help. Visited a local orthotist today, he's making a low-tech peg for me which will be impervious to the effects of saltwater. It'll buy me an incredible amount of freedom at the beach (those alluring seabeds so liberally sprinkled with tiny stones and fragments of shell can play havoc on the stump), seeing that we're going to be spending quite some time there. As a rule i get along quite well with my regular prosthesis, but it just aint meant to be immersed in water. Quite literally 30-plus grand down the drain if it gets wrecked, lol.

Well, it's late, time for my feel-good-pain-away tabz...

@da wanqsta: Seriously don't know what's up with the Gunners...in theory they should be beating thems like Bolton and Fulham but reality is something else. Right now they need to play for a Champion's League spot.
I'm also worried about James, I'll send him an email this morning to check what's up.

Hey guys! Sorry, this post has no link to the previous posts whatsoever. I'm just curious cos i came across the "opera mini 3.0 final" thread and 1 of the posters said that text input has been increased to 5524 instead of the previous 450, which was one of my only complaints with opera mini. However, i'm using it now but can't seem to input more than 450 characters still. Also, any idea what's the difference between http and socket settings?

Good morning all! Ever wonder why it is called morning...it is one letter short of meaning sorrow...lol!

Anyway, I am more awake than could be good for anyone, got a hectic day up for me.

I just remembered that it is holiday for all the matric student...what made me remember? Our weekly scummy paper, Die Son...one of the headline posters read: Margate:die dop vloei...So I think I will look in on the beaches once or twice during the day using the Vodacom4me webcams...Oh how I long for those long, stretched out beaches, hot chicks in bikinis, the smell of the Indian ocean....

I checked out the webcams...PE looks misty and possibly wet, and Vic Bay is very wet it seems...wish it would rain here...

Okay, I got another Vodacom Complaint. I am looking at my balances, and I got myself a bulk sms pack due to incredible ammounts of smsing. I got 500 sms's a month, but last month I used 300, this month, 200...So what to do? i pay about R120 or so for 500 sms's, of which 200-300 will not get used. In September and before my usage was 400-500+...Why won't vodacom allow the purchase of different packages? like say 200sms's and 100 sms's...It would make more sense...I hink...How much do these sms packs cost? But anyway, I think I am saving despite how many I have not used.

The funny thing, I barely sms. Those many sms's I send can only be the one-word replies when I receive stupid questions from friends. I really spend incredible little time smsing these days. It's a good thing...

@francois: This month I also had some issue with Vodacom...they sent me a bill of, wait for this...R1800...I don't have a problem with the bill as such but if someone is trying to rip me off I'm sure as hell going to make a big fuss about it.

On investigation I found that someone at my SP had not subscribed me to my requested MyMeg bundle (256) every month, instead had only been subscribed to an "ad-hoc" bundle which means that for a month I was using the internet and paying R2/MB instead of the "in-bundle" rate which is something like 89cents...so I call Vodacom, sounding very pissed off at their mistake...it's just after November 10 and they try and make nice to me saying that my complaint would be attended to...two weeks later I get a call from sweet girl at Vodacom saying that I would be credited for R1000.

PS: My usually comes to about R800 a month.
