Try "The Confessional" by Jack Higgins. One of the best novels i've ever read, for some it is even better than da-vinci code It was the first novel i read and the one responsible for making me start reading novels. Its excellent.

Nah, the best is always Alistair Mclean.... more than 5 novels os his are movies. Where eagels dare, Guns of navarone, Athabasca, Golden gate to name a few.

If you like espionage novels, read a book called ' The Company' by Robert Littel. Its a 1000 plus page book but gives you a detailed account of the intricacies of the CIA.
