@ Francois,
About that first link...."Mast Debaters"...? Hmm, better not say that too fast...
Seriously though, I haven't seen the alarm bells ringing about wi-fi in schools in this local authority; but who knows, if those theories about the effects end up being more conclusive...

A classic little badge on a slot machine....Security did come give me a talking to about all these casino pictures....
This I took on the way home the one day....Any idea how I got that effect? Look top right....
Sorry for the size on this one. A panoramic shot of our front garden...my view from where i sit at night, other for the fact that here it is day...
Some guys had fun with Omo at a local fountain...
'Tis the season to be jolly...annoying with every light bulb you got stashed away...lol! This is my view at night unfortunately....
Another display, more suited to my taste...as it is not across the street from my nightspot!lol!
Sorry so many....had to post half last week...no time then, so here...

@ Francois,
I'ts always great to see such a host of random cellphone pics capturing elements of everyday life like that. Keep 'em coming.
That's one seriously big, evergreen front garden at your poz....wow, do you ever get the urge to do some impromptu Tarzan impersonations there, particularly after a good few sundowners..? LOL, what an impressive garden there, swaer.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, had a good laugh at that Omo fountain; conjured memories of 'sewing wild oats' as a student in PE.
Reminds me of other purile, mischievous 'experiments' in the res, such as throwing numerous effervescents like Berocca/ Calci-Vita in mugs and urns of coffee, which of course has a somewhat similar effect...

Nice shots there, Francois, i smaak that fountain effect!
So i went for the scan's results today... It ain't one of those ugly buggers that can kill, turns out to be a cyst which can peacefully co-exist with the kidney instead, unless it becomes bothersome and needs to be removed. Having a scope performed on Friday to verify that things are ok, so that neatly clears up that You guys won't believe what a relief it is, knowing that things are ok. Thanx for all the messages of support

During my lunch hour, I strolled into the local Orange shop. The brand new, dinky, very girly Samsung X830 'Blush' is now available.
It costs £159.99 (approx R2240) on PAYG.
I put it next to the W810i and Z610i, so that you can get some idea regarding just how small the thing is. In its closed format, it looks more like a mp3 player than a phone!
Taken with the old P900:
O2 will also be stocking this phone soon, but in an (iPod-esque) white, and thank goodness not called 'Blush' in this guise. It is also available in black.
1.3mp cam, 1 gig non-expandable memory and tiny 84x30x20 dimensions.

Thanx boet, it's been more stressful than i care to admit. Thanx for the tip about the tea as well, i've been taking it daily, and it works!! Hope the exams are going well, and that you score 90%+ on each and every paper!
@Wanqa, that Blush is miniscule!! Mrs.K just had a look at it, mistook it for an iPod!

@ Kryptik, glad you is good & all & all...been watching too much House lately to not see every medical issue as an issue....lol! I need to find new shows to watch....
Glad you chaps liked the pictures...Like the front garden. We just need to get it fenced in...safety and stuff. The back is also okay, but it is HUGE, so the green bits are a bit more spread out. The fountain thing is also cool....wanna do that sometime, but at a big shopping mall....Which reminds me, menlyn has one or two without fish....
Okay, guys, if you don't know Dave Barry, time to meet him! Check out his annual Gift Guide....it is brilliant!
http://www.miami.com/mld/miam[....]mnists/dave_barry/16093643.htm
Just a little bit that got me laughing after this weekends BT discussion...
We find these items through an exhausting and highly demanding process that we call ''reading our e-mail.'' Throughout the year, people from all over the earth and beyond send us gift suggestions. We pore over these for several minutes until we have found the items that meet our exacting Gift Guide standards, which are:
STANDARD ONE: The item has to, physically, exist. All of the items in the Holiday Gift Guide are real. We have touched these items with our bare hands, and we have the skin grafts to prove it.
STANDARD TWO: The item has to be something that we can talk The Miami Herald into paying for. This rules out buying anything nice, because The Herald, like most newspapers these days, is cutting costs in every way possible. For example, we're considering reducing our ink costs by eliminating most vowels. Cn u rd ths? Gd!
STANDARD THREE: We do not walk around all day wearing one of those blinking cellphone earpieces, because those things look stupid, especially if you are not talking to anybody. (This standard has nothing to do with the Holiday Gift Guide, but we believe it is important.)
STANDARD FOUR: Standard Four has been eliminated for cost-cutting reasons.
Go check it out chaps...Some of those things are brilliant, especially the Custom Printed toilet paper (They used a picture of Paris Hilton...good choice!)

@ kryptic: Really super that you out of dangerous waters!
Another story that resembles traces of a proudly south african urban legend The story was published on the mail and guardian online today.
A young South African was on Monday fined by a local court for playing hooky from work and trying to cover it with a fake gynaecologist's certificate attesting he was pregnant and needed a week off.
A magistrate's court in Vereeniging, near Johannesburg, fined 27-year-old Charles Sibindana R1 000 for the brazen forgery, the South African Press Association news agency reported.
Sibindana stole a medical certificate from a health centre used by his pregnant girlfriend but was apparently unaware that only women consulted gynaecologists.
Magistrate Bruno van Eeden jokingly warned Sibindana "not to walk around faking sick letters from gynaecologists". -- AFP
