@all of you:
Since ericsson_man asked for someone to restore his phones I think I have to make something more clear:
I do repairs and restores for free. All I ask is to repay what I have to pay (or what I have payed) for spare parts. I already have different colors of laquere to restore magnesia backs. Stuff like this is for free. What I can offer so far:
- Repairing boards, exchanging components like PA, RF-processor or connectors. I don't have the knowledge to get every board working but I can find and repair the most common failures.
- Restoring painted magnesia backs: I have a complete airbrush set to restore them to almost original condition. I am (for the moment) not able to restore the rough finish of a T28 magnesia back. My results are a little smoother, like magnesia backs from a R380 or Hedvig housings. I can remove IMEI labels without destruction or loss of glue for doing the paintwork but I can not remove warranty seals without destruction.
- restoring plastic covers: I found out good ways to remove dents and scratches. I can restore the matt finish and in special cases (where it's worth to spend some time) I can also restore the surface structure of a front cover. Loose flip hinges (typical T28 problem) can be fixed.
- Even bad scratches from display glasses can be removed as long as the surface is not painted. For example: Series 2xx, 3xx and similar glasses are restorable, R600 or T66 would be not.
- I found a printing company who is restoring the Ericsson /// logo and modell name on front covers. Their prints are absolutely perfect, even better than the original. It's not quite cheap but in some cases there is maybe no other choice. I contacted them when I've got my T18 millenium edition with a partly rubbed off Ericcson logo above the display which had to get restored.
- I just bought all I need for anodizing. I will try it out the next days and I hope to be able soon to restore the black anodized magnesia backs from series 2xx, 3xx, 6xx and 8xx. I will keep you updated.
What I still can't restore: destroyed printed surfaces of keypads (rubber or plastic) and any other kind of rubber parts.
What I usually have in stock: System connectors, speakers, mics, joysticks, LCDs, front covers for older models, antennas, keypads.
What I expect? Nothing more than building up a community that helps each other. I have already found some real good friendships here at Esato. Wapt got me the ER205 from Japan, Hanky ordered parts at a local store in his hometown and shipped them to germany (@hanky: sorry, I will ship the desired part next week, I almost forgot it) and I think tiger and me care for each others collection almost as much as for our own. Simply said: I like to do favours but I also like to ask for favours without having a bad feeling.

@boba
the antenna is the longer one, since i got the phone without it so i had to replace it somehow, and i had no "regular" ones, only this longer, so i had to use it. i think it even looks better.

well, i'm not really sure. it came with a battery, and i use it with that one, but the sticker was ripped off before and got glued back on, so i'm not sure if it's an original one, but for test purpose it's still good. it's a nickel metal hybride battery, but doesn't say anything about the mah or so. |

yeah, i remember. i used to use a gh388, had 3 batts for it, also the biggest one, which was regulary given to the ga318. wasn't the best. |

imo 388 is still perfect as second fone, even todays. the batt it came with should still survive at least 1 day, of course it depends on the cells.
